Rainbow Party President Wynter Kabimba on Friday morning visited incarcerated UPND President Hakainde Hichilema at Mukobeko Maximum prison.
In an interview shortly after the visit, Mr Kabimba said Mr Hichilema is looking well.
He said he encouraged Mr Hichilema to be strong.
“He is looking well, I encouraged him and tried to strengthen him,” Mr Kabimba said.
The Rainbow Party leader also condemned the prison conditions under which Mr Hichilema is kept.
Mr. Kabimba said the people that have thrown Mr Hichilema in prison have already punished him enough due to the poor prison conditions.
“HH needs encouragement from those of us that are outside because prison conditions in this country are terrible and that is why I refuse to agree that that’s why I don’t agree that our prisons are now correctional facilities. These are not correctional facilities, there is no way you can correct somebody’s behavior in deplorable conditions. So they are still prisons,” Mr Kabimba said.
Mr. Hichilema was arrested in April and slapped with a non bailable treason charge.
He is scheduled to appear in the Lusaka High Court on the 14th August 2017.
Mr. Kabimba later posed for some photos with some UPND members of Parliament and party officials.
(HH) has been panel-beaten and his stubborn lDlOTlC habits will be a thing of the past.
Kabimba seems to suggest (HH) is looking well contrary to his supporters fake stories about him being in danger. Kudos to the Correctional Services.

About the Constitution, Edgar took it out and gave it to the people. He had no business hiding it. Now that we know what a shoddy job those entrusted with the job (from all walks of like including the opposition did), we can correct the nonsense. Hiding it like Wynter did was not a solution.

African prisons are not meant to transform the incarcerated.They are conduits of death and early passage to the grave.If one comes out strong from prison,he or she should count it a golden luck.Life in prison is so unbearable that the only thing one clings to is assurance from the word of God.A person can be imprisoned but his ideas cannot be imprisoned.There are people who have come out of prison very strong and have ended up being deputies of Pharaoh.There is a purpose in life as to why people pass through certain obstacles in life.You cannot be a success in life till you are liberated from imprisonment of the mind.Physical imprisonment is not a great deal but the greatest imprisonment is that of the mind.The mind needs liberation from the yoke of imprisonment.
The PF rats were hoping HH by now would be pleading guilty and dropping the petition and UPND would have disbanded…..as the trial date approaches the pf rats are sounding more bewildered while lungu is trying to ban the international media…..

I am reliably informed that Kabimba went to ask underfive to assist with running UPNDonkey party. He asked for the position of acting president, underfive promised to consider the request favourably as he underfive believes that he will be in for a long long time after realising the gravity of his charge and the evidence that he did not know was in the hands of the state.
