HH learnt something while in detention -Kantanshi MP

Share

Independent Kantanshi Member of Parliament  says he is positive that opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema learnt something while in detention.

Speaking on Pan African Radio’s News Feedback Programme on Sunday, Anthony Mumba said Mr. Hichilema intentionally chose to make a blunder that led him to jail.

Making reference to his predecessor Yamfwa Mukanga who lost the Kantanshi Constituency seat to him in last year’s tripartite elections and conceded defeat, Mumba encouraged Mr. Hichilema to embrace meekness and respect those in power instead of continuously contending the outcome of the 2016 elections.

“I am very sure that opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema learnt something while in detention” Mwamba said

    • So you fellow human goes to jail and you mock him. Wania makaka you will also go in. Continue chewing tax payers money. This same HH you are mocking may become president of Zambia and his boys will accuse you of theft and you will enter in the prison and learn. Better to keep your mouth shut than sounding trumpets of stup!dness.
Wisdom is to keep quiet bwana.

    • The MP is right. HH has learnt something in prison. One of the things he has learnt is that ECL is president.

    • Whether you like it or not the MP is correct. This f00l masquerading as president of a tribal party definitely learnt something in mukobeko. He made a blunder that led him to jail and believe me he will never in his life make the same blunder again. THIS IS THE LESSON

    • I had so much faith and hope in Anthony but alas, dude has let me down. His potbelly should have told me all about him, hot air and fart.

    • This is very disappointing by this MP. Maybe he wants to fast track his forgiveness back into the PF after standing as an independent. Really disappointing that politicians can be signing for their supper.

  1. Imwe personally I don’t see the difference between HH and people like Nevers Mumba, Mike Mulongoti and the likes of GBM.
Just to remind you of how much the guy overrates himself, remember President Sata asked him to work with him when RB was president, the guy refused and instead wanted Mr Sata to be his vice. That’s how deep the guy is dellusioned.
My advice to entire PF is let’s ignore this bitter man and focus on development delivery and fulfil campaign promises. Let’s hepatitis President Lungu delivered and I can bet when we do this, there will be no need to worry because delivery will speak for themselves and people will more than glad to keep PF in power after 2021.

    • Your “Hepatitis President Lungu” has a thin skin. He is obsessed with respect and since he will not get it from those people he rigged elections from, no development will happen before 2021.

  2. Ubukopo bweka bweka. How dare you say that about the President. Very silly indeed. You are the people who rejoice when someone has a misfortune. You do you think you are? You’ll never ever be half of what HH is now in your whole miserable life.

    • Using tribe to think what a pity,HH followed the law and petitioned the obviously rigged election but your God refused to prove his win in court but chose to use compromised media and police to win, this is not good for the future of our country.

    • HH must go back to Mukobeko. can you imagine, when he was i prison the kariba dam filled up and load shedding became a thing of the passed, the kwacha appreciated, mellie meal prices redused, fuel price dropped, inflation dropped, interest rates dropped, more than 5 head of states visited and still counting.

    • when he got released via nolle ‘ mopani wants to retrench just because his south african freinds own mopani and george milupi own cec.

  3. The point this chap wanted to put accros should have not turned out to be a mockery. It’s true even him can go to prison one day. The point even I expected was that hh should always keep a distance from the fools. These guys are always looking for a fault to use to clear any one seemingly challenging them. Sata’s votes were allegedly stollen more than once. He soldierd on. When the people
We’re fed up ecz could not even finish counting votes before hey declared him winner.

  4. Even if he learnt something I personally don’t think HH will ever rule Zambia . It’s foolish thinking to unsit a ruling government by small chaps from upnd . Only SATA and ftj made it . Now it won’t be possible .

  5. The devil has been exposed and how do you rejoice when somebody is put on the death toll for the case he did not commit?
Concentrate on the MOPANI issues for your mines it is PF which has learnt a lesson.HH has come up more popular and stronger that ever before.
    Time is catching up

  6. I have so much respect for Hon.Anthony Mumba. He articulates issues intelligently but here he has missed a point.Hon.Mumba you know very well that the irregularities in last year’s elections were very glaring.Someone does not need to be a supporter or sympathizer of UPND to acknowledge those irregularities. I’m sure in due course HH will eventually ‘accept defeat’

    • …I would really be delighted if you maybe you put down just 5 “irregularities” in last years elections which only you upnd types seem to know???
SHAME US, MY BROTHER, ON THIS BLOG. I PUT YOU TO THAT!!

  7. And he was taught that ECL is the president of republic of Zambia and you(hh) you are an opposition leader of the republic of Zambia and join your fellow opposition leaders. Crying for 2016 general election it’s not going to help you and tribal enheritance party.

  8. Surely there must be something wrong with this so called independent MP and many other Zambians.
To the independent MP, the brutal arrest and imprisonment of the opposition UPND leader was justified even if a case of treason failed to be proved is good lesson for HH to have learnt something in prison. This is intellectually emaciated thinking. The gist of the matter is rule of law. Other lean thinkers claim sour grapes in all this – warped thinking. Rule of law must takes its course in all civilised societies. Let it be agreed with you, which is not, court ruled some MPs lost elections why are they still MPs and ministers to date? Those who ignore the RULE OF LAW do not fit in this modern world. Soon or later will face the same law they defy.

  9. Mumba is just comforting z visionlessness of his pf. In a no case imprisonment surely anyone with even little understanding will see that it was all malice, hatred and jealous. If one has to learn something, he shud learn vengence. How do u arrest someone by first terrorising and destroying his home; after a 4 month torture ur scared to face one little man: mweemba!

  10. Remain sleeping Zambians while only the few in your pf benefits from your sweat. You would rather continue supporting something that doesnt make sense at all. What’s there to learn from that so called treason embarrassing case ?? Corrupt minds, poor governance, dictatorship, nonsense, circus ??? HH has come ou of there a stronger man.

    • …in a democracy, people have freedom of choice. If the majority chose PF over upnd, there is nothing undemocratic about that. They have their own reasons which you shouldn’t question. Whoever said they were suppose to choose hh or else?? Or else what??? RESPECT THE WILL AND DESIRES OF THE PEOPLE!!!

  11. The difference between an intelligent person and a wise person is that an intelligent person will fall into a ditch and know how to come out of it but a wise person would not fall into the ditch to start with. HH could have avoided detention if he like other opposition leaders accepted the loss. I wonder how only him and his supporters are crying foul. Is it because he right from the beginning said he would not a loss? Remember he also convinced his supporters that the elections would be rigged. From the postings on this blog you can tell that UPND supporters believe that the elections were rigged.

  13. We equally learnt something from HH’s detention. These are leaders we look to for inspiration. No wonder they say “a leaders mistake is a leading mistake”. What ever they do has some influence on those that look up to them.

  14. You dont have to accept everything that’s presented to you just because it comes with certain threatening conditions.Take it, ponder and analyse it and only then should you decide whether or not to believe it. Most zambians are not stupid, they would rather go to jail than say yes to everything. That’s why you are called a ” democracy”. Do exercise your right to choose a leader of your choice, otherwise go back to one party .

  15. Is this is the calibre of people Zambians elect to represent them in parliament? A person who cannot differentiate white from black, left from right and wrong from right. Where is the comparison here between Yamfwa and Edgar, did Yamfwa petition your election iwe ci Anthony? Was he not convinced that he lost? How about what the Zambians witnessed at Mulungushi, Chawama and City Airport, were these not good reasons for HH to reject and petition Lungu’s election? Why is it that some of you Zambians are quick to condemn a person even when you are convinced that something is wrong with the person you are patronising? You are a stupid MP Anthony together with all those who support illegitimacy.

  16. But how come that it looks like punishing someone is more painful than being punished? Lungu looks more Beregard than HH! Moreover, this ka MP is mistaken, people are taught in schools not in a maximum prison or/” Is it a new degree awarding institution now for?”!

  17. The family of UPND gets bigger by the day and that of PF continues to shrink by the minute. Kambwili apologised to Tongas and UPND, next it will be Emannuel Mwamba to apologise to HH for having worked had to …!

  18. This is an opportunity for UPND, to start afresh and launch a better Public Relations offence that accepts and celebrates the WHOLE of Zambia’s Tribal groupings and begin to look to Parliament for their political operations rather than contention and violence; which is a slippery slope to jail time.

Also, it would be very desirable to see HH, UPND President attempt to get a seat in Parliament. There are a few bye elections coming up maybe he can be a candidate for UPND in one constituency. It is ridiculous an opposition leader in Zambia does not need to at least have won an MP seat.

    • We want HH to argue his case in Parliament challenging and providing balance and checks. Not running his ism Parliament from his Palaces, then hoping onto his plane to go and live in South Africa.

  19. The MP is 100% right. My observation to this conversation is that all people opposing the MP are Tongas. Please stop tribalism and support what is right and oppose what is wrong.People will appreciate you
