The newly opened Institute of Management University in Ndola in Copperbelt province is offering 5o percent discount on tuition fees to all government workers.

Speaking at the official opening of the institute, today, Secretary to the Cabinet Roland Msiska said the courses offered at the institute were in line with the seventh pillar of the Seventh National Development Plan (SNDP) which supports diversification of employee’s minds.

Dr. Msiska noted that the public and private sector in the country needed refined minds and skills to move the country forward.

The secretary to the Cabinet noted that the number of public university in the country could not absorb all those who wanted to attain higher education saying the institute of Management university had come at the right time adding that the institute would be able to cater for everyone since it will specialize in distance and e-learning.

He expressed hope in the growth of the university to reach a level where it would expand to other country.

Speaking earlier, Institute of Management University Representative Grace Sikazwe said the University was offering unique business courses aimed at equipping learners with management skills which would in turn help transform management at national level.

Ms Sikazwe said the institution would focus on promotion of e-learning which will allow students to study at their own pace regardless of where they were.

She said this of learning process promotes interaction and exchange knowledge among students across the globe.

  1. How much rent is the University paying that house in Kabushi Compound. Do have learned PHD holders with the calibre of Dr. Mushota, Dr. Kambwili, Dr. GBM & Dr. Bowman?

    • @3 Tokotoko..THAT IS MY WORRY TOO…all these are channels for draining government resources as Civil Servants will be compelled to enroll there and nowhere else!!

  4. Awe fimbi fintu tulekanako. Nangu kuchita promote education mwati nifi. The Minister even went to officiate on this. NDOLA HAS A NEW UNIVERSITY. Come on please. Give us a break. Its not everything you have to bring on Media. Nefishilingile sure.

  5. It is not a university, it is a college. It must be accredited or else those qualification from that university will not be recognized by Dr mushota his white boyfriend.

HOW CAN A PRIVATE INSTITUTION DO THAT? WHY ONLY GOVERNMENT WORKERS. Next millions of government workers including ghost workers will be sponsored at this institution. It’s The Kapoko style.

  8. Already the gap in the name is observed. Was it formed for swindling the chaps with fake qualifications so that recover quickly? The synonym of the term “University” is “Institute”. So Ndola has a new university known as, “Institute of management Institute” be serious for once.
