    • Any appointment at ECZ is seen as evil by Upnd unless it’s good for their god hh. Change is good and painful at the same time. Congrats Mr Chella. Please work for the good of the country not the always crying Tongas.

    • Priscilla Isaacs came to Joburg with her election bribe money & got robbed as she left O.R. Tambo Airport.
The thieves stole thousands of dollars from her & her son.

Even the bible says Ill-gotten money gets blown away into the wind.

    • BIG Congrats Chomba. What matters in these jobs is to do the right thing and serve the Zambian people and not political individuals whether in Government or opposition. Power to the will of the people !

    • I think we should have employed an expatriate like an experienced lawyer from the South African Electoral Commission until such a time order is restored

    • What tremendous progress Zambia has made in backwardness and rigging of elections! Any wonder it is now home to cholera and corruption. Check the latest – the disappearance of the mukula tree from our forests.

  1. Most people have lost faith in the electoral commission that facilitated and stole votes for lungu, the constitution court, all thieves without a shred of conscience.

    • Sata used to say the same but after winning 2011, he kept quiet about the corruption and shortfalls in the ECZ.

    • @ 2.1 Ndanje Khakis:
You’ve alluded to late president Michael Sata. As that goes, please check the inside story. Rupiah Banda’s hands had to be tied, for Sata to win. In that regard, Sata was lack to have won, and Banda remained a wounded Buffalo. By the way, don’t you recall how much noise Sata had had to make on the eve of the previous rigged election, when that same the same electoral thief, Rupiah Banda, dribbled him? Do you recall the fierce threats Sata had to make in order to alert the International Community of what was going on. BBC were on the ground to witness it all. It was ugly. That’s now what we want. In retrospect, Michael Sata could have completed his term in office, had he gone in the first time. Do you see the unfairness of rigging?

    • @maitengu, the difference is that Rupiah didn’t want to concede defeat not that the ECZ had rigged the election. Also don’t forget that Sata said the same in 2006 when he lost to Mwanawas….unless this time you’ll change and say Mwanawasas was also corrupt.

  2. There were no interviews held he was hand picked based on the fact that he was acting so it is a non-competitive promotion.

    • Corporate governance rules oblige that interviews are held. Obviously they were sham interviews as they already knew who they wanted. i remember they advertised the position.

  3. Another BEMBA APPOINTED hmm.. How can PF Loose like this. @nostradamus ..I ALSO WONDER what pipo at ECZ do everyday for 4yrs when we have no ERECTIONS

    • GO THERE AND GET ORIENTED INSTEAD OF SOCIAL MEDIA BLUFFS, IGNORANCE IS NOT BENEFICIAL AT ALL.
IF THIS MAN WAS NOT QUALIFIED IT COULD MATTER, LOOK AT HIS CV/RESUME AND ADDED TO IT IS THAT HE HAS BEEN NO.2 AND WAS ACTING – THE APPRAISAL SYSTEM WAS ENOUGH TO EARN HIM THE PROMO UNLESS HE WAS INCOMPETENT LIKE MUCHELEKA WHO IS NOW DEPUTY TO A GRADE SEVEN FROM BEING CEO

  4. A president who steals an election sets a precedence for corruption. We saw it in the case of Frederick Chiluba, Rupiah Banda and now Edgar Lungu. Unfortunately, corruption eats us all alive.

  5. Congratulations mwaiche wandi Chella. I have been looking for you. Kwena ichipuna bakupela chintu chakaba wu kose. Otherwise God richly bless you and guide you in your new appointment. The steps of a rightous man are led by the lord. Phone me on 0972744621. Great all the Chellas.

  6. I forgot to add that a challenge makes a man. If there were no challenges we would not achieve anything Yashwa Bless mightly.

  7. Well done ECZ for appointing Mr Chomba Chella as CEO because that is a very sensetive job which should not be given to certain people who consider HH as their god!!Zambia needs a neutral person as ECZ CEO!!CONGRATS MR CHOMBA!!YOU ALREADY KNOW THE GAME AND 2021 SHOULD BE KAINDE’S LAST ATTEMPT.HH MUST BE RETIRED IN NATIONAL INTEREST COME 2021.then in 2026,we may consider NDC because by then PF would have ruled for 15yrs.GAME IZIBIKA MR CHOMBA CHELLA(PF SHOULD WIN IN 2021)!!!
Well done Judge Esau Chulu for settling for an experienced ECZ senior officer as CEO-in a Mr Chomba!!as for upnd, you must know that rigging does not exist.your Kainde just loses elections clean because he has failed to win in 6.5 provinces since 2006!!Mr Mazoka won in PF strongholds in 2001-an achievement HH has…

  8. We shall only believe that there is no rigging once we hear from that Chavula guy, the PF cadre who ECZ and Police mysterious let go after being found changes figures in the computer room.

  9. Ba Chomba congrats after I confirm that you attended interview! mwabobeni yama! Sometimes Kulasanikwa yama..You will be a President of Zambia yet to come but one day! congrats again.
