Kabwe man commits suicide after killing wife

A man in Kabwe has committed suicide after allegedly murdering his wife at their home in Kamushanga Township.

The man who has been identified as Lloyd Shula allegedly killed his wife, Letisha Ndala on Saturday night.

Central Province Commissioner of Police, Joe Njase confirmed the deaths in an interview with ZANIS in Kabwe today.

Mr. Njase said it is alleged that the couple was facing marital disputes which led to the man killing his wife and later taking his life.

The couple is survived by a one -year-old child.

And Kalonga Ward Councillor, Betty Kapapula has expressed sadness over the incidence.

Mrs Kapapula said it is unfortunate that couples have turned a deaf ear over government’s efforts in fighting Gender Based Violence (GBV).

Mrs Kapapula has since called on the general public to join hands in the fight against GBV in the district.

She has also urged couples to seek guidance when in disputes.

  1. This is what happens when people just marry for the sake of it. Never rush, choose your partner wisely or you might choose your executioner by accident!

    • I feel bad, emotionally disturbed more especially the innocent child left behind…… growing without a biological father and mother and only to come and learn later that your mother was murdered by your father who minutes later committed suicide. Minutes before, this poor kid had both parents and minutes later she becomes a double orphan what a world!

  2. Obviously there were doubts about the parternity of the child – the features on the child became more pronouced as he grew older.

  3. Whatever the problem, there is always a solution and a peaceful way out. In marital desputes, we men who are stronger emotionally and physically should have enough mental capacity to erase negative thoughts and prevent the situation from turning worse.

If you can’t deal with the situation rightaway, walk away and let time be the healer. Things will get easier the momment you decide to sit down and discuss matters over again.

  4. MTSRIP. So sad to lose lives. The families must take care of the opharn. This is disheartening news

  5. @Rude Monk I agree with you 100%.Situations like these ,its could be true that the late nigger wanted the wife to go and she refused. Some times women are frustrating. If you cant leave her she will always stick around even when you spend nights outside your own home. Women should learn that to let go is an act of love. As men sometimes we need a breathing space.
