Kambwili’s son to appear in court on 24th May for corruption

Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili’s son Mwamba will appear in court on 24th May 2018 after he was arrested by the Anti- Corruption Commission for corrupt practices involving K630 000.00.

Mwamba was arrested and charged with two counts of being in possession of property reasonablysuspected to be proceeds of crime, contrary to section 71 of the forfeiture of proceedsof crime act number 19 of 2010.

Details of the first count being that Mr. Mwamba on 22nd July 2016 in Luanshya District of the Copperbelt province, did have under his possession money amounting to K450,000.00 and later deposited it into Dr. Chishimba Kambwili’s personal bank accounts no. 6251663445 domiciled at First National Bank Zambia, property reasonably suspected of being proceeds of crime.

In the second count, Mr. Mwamba on 24th August 2016 in Luanshya District, Copperbelt Province, did have under his possession money amounting to K180,000.00 and deposited it in Dr. Chishimba Kambwili account no. 6251663445 domiciled at FirstNational Bank Zambia, property reasonably suspected of being proceeds of crime.

This is according to ACC Spokesman Timothy Moono.

    • So basically you form your companies but put them in other peoples names in this case your children with an intended purpose of stealing or dealing in dubious business activity. When money is received by the corrupt company, money is then deposited in your account. Baba this is corruption. stealing.

    BANKS ALWAYS ASK FOR THE SOURCE OF SUCH LARGE SUMS.
    THEY ACCEPT RECEIPT BUT WILL REPORT TO AUTHORITY AT CLOSE OF DAY, BEHIND YOUR BACK..

  4. This does have Kaizer and Chanda written all over it .Politics always ends up in failure and PF should not fool itself that they will cringe on to power . People have started knowing that they are in it for their bank accounts .That is why Mr Mwamba says they will be running like rats when they lose their grip on power. The amount of theft happening in Zambia is unprecedented .
    The real thieves have been wrapped in cotton wool and provided with a steel wall by this clueless government . The question they need to answer is why was CK not arrested in 2016? Are there any other people in PK who have made similar bank deposits like CK .The answer to the above questions is yes there are .What has the ACC done about it ?
