Zanaco tests Buildcon’s rival under Chembo

Buildcon hosts Zanaco this afternoon in a rescheduled Week 5 fixture at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

The match comes five days after Buildcon won their first league game of the season to remain unbeaten under new coach Tenant Chembo from his three games in charge in which the Ndola club have now collected 5 points.

Buildcon are also set for their biggest test under Chembo since they drew 1-1 away to Nkana in his first game in charge on April 11.

Buildcon are currently 16th on 5 points after crawling out of the bottom four relegation zone for the first time this season following Saturday’s 2-1 home win over promoted New Monze Swallows.

Meanwhile, Zanaco return to action for the first time since their continental elimination last Wednesday when they lost 3-0 away to Raja Casablanca in Morocco to exit the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup 5-0 on aggregate.

But on the domestic front, Zanaco are the only unbeaten side in the 2018 FAZ Super Division.

The 2017 runners-up are 5th on 12 points from four games with three games in hand.

Victory at Buildcon will see Zanaco exchange places with 4th placed Kabwe Warriors, who have 14 points.

A win will see Zanaco move one point behind leaders and defending champions Zesco United whom they hosts this Saturday in Lusaka.
