  1. Nonsense

The people are happy with President Lungu

The country HAS NEVER been better

President Lungu is the Best Zambian president we have ever had

    Thanks

    BB2014,2016

    • Lungu will not change his ways. He is content being a drunk corrupt thief.

The only way to change this trajectory is by changing government.

By that, I do NOT mean we go for HH – he is far from the solution. That man is finished.

Lungu is worse that RB, and RB was very very bad.

    • Whereas NDC is a joke of a political party, and it’s leaders are clowns, the points raised about giving all contracts to Avic need to be looked at.

    • You can’t just talk of changing government without suggesting an alternative. So who is your man, tell us since you are not interested in HH? Is it Choumollier or perhaps CK.

    • You do not start with protests. How about sending a letter to govt expressing displeasure and requesting action and if that fails you turn to another alternative and if that fails, then you protest. You must have a last resort.

    • LET’S START WITH AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF DUAL CARRIAGE WAY FROM LUSAKA TO NDOLA TO CK.
      ===============================
THEN LET HIM, CK, SPEARHEAD THE ANALOGUE TO DIGITAL MIGRATION.
      “””””””””””” “””””””””” “””””””””” “”””””””””” “”””””””””
ALLOW CK TO BUILD HYDRO POWER AND CRITICAL BRIDGES ACROSS SOME RIVERS IN ZAMBIA.
Let’s face it, CK is hungry. His pockets are fast drying. We know your reasons of wanting to be in Govt.

    • The danger of empowering foreigners is that the effects go beyond a generation. Our current leaders don’t seem interested in what happens tomorrow. The Chinese have gained too much confidence and influence already and it’s a matter of time before we start fighting for independence once more. Bribes and commissions will feed you for a day, but hardwork, sacrifice, innovation, patience, patriotism and investment in ourselves will be passed on a generation. For once think of tomorrow!

  2. Your CK has failed to complete projects awarded to him. This is a joke and youths must not be used. Boma ni Boma and so they will be arrested. What will CK do?

    • Don’t even start Kambwili.
Big mkoshi was happy Chinese sweeping contracts, whilst he was “eating in P.F” as long as some contracts were single sourced to Mwamona.
Wawona manje, wayamba kulila, Mukoshi! wawona manje, wayamba kulila.

    • Ba Dontcare, you are asking what CK will do, ku fenta chabe. enchito banasha. batata ba Chimbwili. Apa first baleloleko pantu nakutalala ifyakufula ama shirt teti fibombe. But come September, mukamona ninshi bayamba.

  3. NDC, Please read the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Las of Zambia and its clear on sabotage. Death (hanging by the neck until pronounced neutral) is the minimum sentence. Acts of sabotage or intention thereof constitute a treasonable offence and it SHALL be interpreted and implemented us such.

    • STOP YOUR THREATS THEY ARE JUST EXERCISING THEIR RIGHTS. THEY HAVE A DUTY TO PROTECT THE SOVEREIGNTY OF OUR COUNTRY. THE SAME ILL GAINED MONIES FROM CHINESE ARE BEING USED AGAINST CITIZENS AND FOR CAMPAIGNS.

    • Despite Kambwili being dishonest, & useless, P.F, Jona Pombe, & his useless Corrupt officials have also bled Zambia dry, & that is the definition of economic sabotage.
As what happens to economic saboteurs, Allepo you’ve already told us what the prescription is.
Does not look good for these Gundwane’s, once they are out of office.

  4. Much as l agree to these protests to STOP the government from empowerment only foreign firms, it’s very hard and almost IMPOSSIBLE for the BANKS we have in Zambia today to finance machinery aquisition etc., to Zambians to engage in such projects like building of Roads. Our Chinese friends at least have their BANK OF CHINA at their fingertips hence, they qualify and get such contracts. Clive Chirwa is a very good example here, twailasha kwa Zecco…

    • We have tried to give contracts to the so called Zambian contractors, the results are there for everyone to see. Look at Mayumbi Toll Plaza. Now nothing is even happening. Look at Roads done by SABLE. Check the pricing of Zambian contractors. Before we even start thinking about protesting against Chinese start protesting against Zambian work culture in public service.

    • Amagenge, I fully support you. Some of these local contractors like Sable are untouchable, but we do not know how much we have armed them. They are controlling government machinery and no one in government will condemn the works done by Sable. No one has courage to even push sable to do a 3 km road like Kalindawaro Road in Chipata which has been under construction the past 4 years. The Mayor will announce on Radio that Sable has been funded to complete works on Kalindawaro road, but a few months down the line sable will use the same platform to say he has not been funded. Shame! Anyway, not all days are Mondays!

“He accused the PF of benefitting from the Chinese through bribes and commissions awarded through dubious contracts.”

    This is very true.

Gone are the days when the civil society, including NGOs, student movement trade unions and opposition political parties would mobilize themselves en masse and stand up to injustice and tyranny by protesting countrywide and bring government to a halt, all without fear of retribution from state machinery. But now dictator Lungu has divided and conquered all these groups and instilled fear down their spine. It’s crazy!

  6. Independence is not enough!
Kwame Nkrumah’s Neo-Colonialism is the classic statement on the post-colonial condition. African, Caribbean and Third World nation-states after flag independence find they have achieved government or state power but still cannot control the political economies of their country as they appear to be directed from the outside by multi-national corporations. Many African Americans use this analysis to suggest even when Black people win elections they really are not in charge and this is consistent with the theory found in this work. The problem with this approach is twofold. First, why do people still strive to get state power under capitalism in the name of “independence” if it is clear there will be no sovereignty? Why is it seen as a radical analysis? If the…

    • Continued
If the nation-state under capitalism secures no sovereignty then why not permanently organize resistance outside state power? Neo-colonialism is an application of Lennin’s last writings, where he said there would be no socialism in Russia, to the African world. It deceivingly sets up terms for valuating statesmen as “progressive” when they actually attack the independent self-mobilization of independent people of color, especially workers, at the post-colonial moment. When Nkrumah came up with this theory in Ghana that was in fact what he was doing. He was overthrown the next year and many blamed the CIA. Instead, we need to ask why he did not retain the support of the people of Ghana? Still a classic of political theory, which need not be true for all time, still addresses…

  7. That’s Kambwili trying to win back contacts for his MWAMONA Company.

Mamb@la was quiet when Sata was awarding contracts to him and GBM. Now that he’s out of power and yamuny0k0la njala mambala, he goes “mfyo … mfyo … mfyo.”

This is a flop because Zambians know better.

    Fight your own wars CK.

  8. Such protests in Zambia degenerate to riots and the police are called to duty accordingly. When this happens, CK, Mwenye Musenge, their wives, children and grand children, will be safely tucked away in their cosy living rooms. Zambians, do no be gullible and be used by these losers. They want the same contracts for themselves. It is not about you, but about them.

  9. Protests in any country are a healthy way of expressing displeasure against certain government decisions as long as they are peaceful. Even though PF government is not going to do anything but at least the whole world will get the message about the misdeeds of this regime. We made the biggest mistake by voting the MMD out in 2011.Poverty is more pronounced than ever before.Mwanawasa,Rupiah we miss you our dear Presidents!

  10. How many have own money to do work and govt pay you when and if they have money

You think govt gives down payment

  11. Alungu its very soon you start going to the courts of law. It will happen I can lest assure you . The late at which you running is very alarming you cannot be rich so quick. We shall see////

  12. WHEN KAMBWILI WAS IN GOVT HE GOT A LOT OF CONTRACTS SOME OF WHICH HE SOLD TO FRIENDS. NOW HE CRIES FOUL BECAUSE HE IS NOT EATING WITH BOTH HANDS.
CAN HE TELL US HOW MANY CONTRACTS HE GOT. THEN MAY BE WE SHALL TAKE

  13. Award a Zambian company a big contract and the first thing you will see is the so called company director driving a very BIG POSH CAR….So of this things are self explanatory. Even the so called NDC consultant he got his money out of the same government we are talking about, today he is able to boast that he can fly to London just to have a cup of tea, in fact his wife is staying in London currently, where did he get such money?

  14. Sad to admit but protests are the only language this government will understand, because right now the electrorate is being ignored and come election time they play dununa reverse, hand out chitenges and beer and they are voted back to power.

    • Seems you are in the UNIP days. GBM handed out bicycles, beer and chitenges but still lost in Kabwata to Given Lubinda. Zambian voters are past that phase and they choose the candidate of their choice. upnd don’t even distribute much in the southern bantustan but receive a whopping 99% vote. Don’t post rubbish, instead take time to visit and know your country…..

  15. Countrywide?? kwekwekwekwekwe….you 1.d.i.ots and who??? You can’t even raise a crowd for the by-elections and you say countrywide??? kwekwekwekwekwe…awe ubushilu nabu chila mu Zambia…kwekwekwekwe….

  16. Ungrateful! When they give you contracts you do a shoddy job. Is someone who has been losing for years sponsoring you?

  17. Zambian contractors????/Ni sorry mulamu. The road portion which was done by swift and buildcon(Zambian contractors on chingola /solwezi road) is pathetic. You eat before the project is done ,the Chinese do the opposite but you want more projects.

  18. LT, Connecting the upcoming hallucinations to the old protest photo as shown in your file photo is “Illicit and poor journalism!” Maybe your writer’s fault.

  19. “He is urging NDC youths countrywide to turn up for the demonstrations”.
Is this not the party which fails to raise 15 supporters for nominations? Where will they find the youths to demonstrate? Ok, talk to jj, he can lend you some youths.

  20. Don’t just live on the blame game. Get a life Zambians. These contracts you are talking about are too capital intensive and can’t be managed by the tuntemba kind of contractors. These Chinese came to Zambia before some of you were born and you can’t blame PF alone. TAZARA was built by Chinese, all our big bridges, stadia and many big infrastructures that requires expensive machinery are done by the same Chinese for many years. Just work hard and win yourself good reputation. Avoid xenophobia, learn to coexist. The world is a global village. CK himself has failed to deliver on the government contract he is working on. It has taken him years to build houses as agreed but he has eaten the money which is corruption on its on and if it was the Chinese, that would have done in short possible…

  21. Cont…. Period of time. Does it mean Kambwili is a Chinese contractor for him to have gotten that contract?

  22. The Quality of the harvest depends on the input,, for you to have a factual answer to why Zambian contractors underperform compared to foreign Contractors,, you need to know how much a Zambian contractor is given on a similar Project carried out by a foreign Contractor,, The quality of work is direct promotional to the Money involved,, Zambian Contractors are underpaid,, Chinese are confused chaps,, when they give us money they in return recommend a company to execute the actual project,, theses Chinese companies in Zambia are owned by the Chinese Government,,

  23. Tell me one Zambian contractor that can build a road? We had minestone and zecco are no more. Zambian companies over charge..more than ten times in some cases.
and keep changing cost during constructions. They abandon the project midway…have you tried to take your car for panel beating? When it’s an individual it will cost you k2,000 but when it’s insurance or company it will be k30,000.. that’s how our local companies behave.

  24. I honestly feel for jail fainting CK. Let him and his ally MWENYA lead. After protest followers watch CK faint on his way to a detention facility, they will think twice if not thrice.

  25. I think we ought to face the truth. Is it just because we are Zambian then we automatically qualify even when our workmanship is so poor? Surely, who doent know the shoddy works done by majority Zambians? We have condemned the loans PF is getting from donors and you want the same money to be given to useless Zambian contractors for shoddy works so that two days we star overall again? No way.

  26. Comment:
Kambwili you are a shame and disgrace! Just show him a picture of a police station and count how many times he will faint?

  27. The ***** is broke he can’t boast anymore about flying to London and just have a cup then come back.let him finish the projects that he got then protest against the Chinese.

  28. Let us give all contracts to companies that can deliver. So far taking the case of Chingola, Zambian contractors failed to do simple roads and now 3-5 years later the Chinese are redoing the same stretches which is in itself a cost. Give a Zambian anything, fix a car for me, build a house for me, fix this roof or anything and you will be lucky if it’s done on time and according to specs. Talking from experience I can assure you that the Zambian mentality is to push for as much money as possible paid upfront then abandon the job. Before we scream Chinese! Chinese! Let us work on this generational problem and in the meantime let the Chinese do the job. What this country needs is a good road infrastructure regardless of who does it and if I were the government I would not risk giving a road…

  29. What this country needs is a good road infrastructure regardless of who does it and if I were the government I would not risk giving a road contract to a Zambian contractor. I therefore opine that these protests are ill informed and a product of ignorance much as it is a constitutional right for every citizen to protest in this land

  30. Let’s be serious fellow Zambians, most Zambian contractors have been awarded contracts before. My question is, how have we executed those contracts? Those of you who were awarded contracts as far back as 2014 you haven’t even handed over any single contract to government, u even fail to pay your workers but you are busy buying executive and expensive cars for yourselves and your side chicks. I for one do think the government is right by suggesting that 20% of contracts be awarded to Zambians because we have failed our country. But see how Chinese guys work, they do their best and impress everyone. Let’s keep politics out of this ba NDC

  31. IN ZAMBIA WE BELIEVE IN “MUZUNGU WABULA KAJO KUMU SEBENZELA NE”. WE FIRST WANT TO EAT EVEN BEFORE WE DO THE JOB. I FEEL EMBARRASSED TO SEE THE CHINESE WORKING AFTER HOURS WHEN FI MA ZAMBIANS AT THAT SAME COMPANY ARE RUSHING TO KNOCK OFF FOR CHIBUKU….SHAME

  32. I don’t know which Dsccipline you gentlemen belong to,, when you talk of medicine we are the best in Africa, there is this Zambian mine, it is the eighth lagest copper mining company in the World, all the Technical work in terms of Processing is done by Zambian Engineers,, but you can never compare the salary scale for a Foreign employee to a Zambian employee,, it is just a. standardised norm in Zambia that local experties are not appreciated,, hence you have Dr Bwalya the Microbiologist leading the new malaria drag research program at Cape Town university,, you have Clive Chilwa contributing positively on the board of NASA in the USA,, what is building a road?? You have dull people occupying senior positions hence it is logical that Technocrats are sidelined because of inferiority…
