PF Secretary General, Davies Mwila has warned of disciplinary action against Bahati MP Harry Kalaba and Roan MP Chishimba Kambwili if both fail to respond to their summons from the party within 7 days.

Mr. Mwila says the PF National Disciplinary committee will decide the fate of the Two MPs if they do not respond within the stipulated time.

The PF Secretary General said this at press briefing held at the PF Secretariat in Lusaka.

Meanwhile, the Patriotic Front has adopted, Godwin Putu as its candidate for the November 20th Mangango Parliamentary By-election.

Mr. Mwila says the Party decided to settle for Mr. Putu after a Central Committee meeting which was chaired by President Edgar Lungu at State House today.

He says the Party has also adopted Clement Kaputula as its candidate for Lupososhi Council Chairperson by election.

Mr. Mwila says the Party is confident that the two candidates will scoop the seats.

He has also appealed to party members who applied for the Mangango and Lupososhi seat to understand that they can only be one person to stand.

Mr. Mwila has further urged the Party members to remain loyal to party and support the candidates.

And UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka says the party has received eleven applications and it has since reduced the number to three.

Mr. Katuka told ZNBC News that Mangango is a UPND seat and that the party is confident of returning it.

Meanwhile, United Prosperous & Peaceful Zambia-UPPZ Spokesperson Francis Kope says the Party has a candidate but will only unveil that candidate a day before or on Nomination Day.

Meanwhile, Efforts to get People’s Alliance for Change – PAC- President Andyford Banda failed as his mobile phone was off.

The Mangango seat fell vacant in August after the death of UPND Mangango member of Parliament Naluwa Mweene in a road accident.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia has set 20th November 2018 as the day for the by-election.

  1. Always the political stuff making headlines/taking priority . Why then do we wonder that Zambia is still under developed 54yrs after attaining self rule?

    • Zambian democracy;
Mr. Mwila says the Party decided to settle for Mr. Putu after a Central Committee meeting which was chaired by President Edgar Lungu at State House today.
While Police have blocked the the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from holding an indoor meeting in Chingola.
The NDC wanted to hold the indoor meeting today at the Chingola Arts Society but police told them that they should not because of the ‘security circumstances in the district’.

  2. Imwe ba Davies Mwila, Chishimba Kambwili was expelled from your party. Isnt the matter now in court? Or are you withdrawing it from court in order to start properly with a charge first? I suppose it was the improper knee jerk reaction of PF leadership that gave Kambwili a legal lifeline. Now he is in court with you, how can you ask him to exculpate himself or even threaten disciplinary action?

    • Because fentizo challenged the expulsion in court therefore the status quo stands that he is still a member of Pf. He is also bound by the parties laws and regulations. The same case with Luo she challenged her nullification hence still holding the seat. Once you seek court interventions the everything reverts to normal. Since you are an under5 who just rants without thinking you cant understand these simple issues.

  3. #4.1 OVAL HEAD, oval is associated with eggs which in turn are associated with an embryo. If you have an egg on top of your neck then I understand your “thinking” capacity.
Now let me explain to your mother who will then explain it to you when your head is finally born and able to think on its own. Kambwili has an injunction on PF which means the courts have yet to decide whether he is PF or not. That is what keeps him in parliament as MP. And as long as the injunction subsists, Kambwili’s position is indeterminate. Therefore Davies Mwila and PF cannot mete out any disciplinary measures against him. The injunction is all about no further action until the court decides.

Clearly your “thinking” is worse than our under5, T Hacks, except that his problem is trib.al and unelected…

  4. Kwena ba Davie chikopo naine nabako bwino. When people get annoyed not even the councillors that are paid ama 200pin will save the situation. There comes a time when even a dog is preferred to the sitting pulisident. Intimidate the opposition but its only up to a certain extent. Watch.

  5. Davis Mwila for President. This man is the man we need for President of Zambia, he looks like the kind who can bring disciple to PF. Let us all start a campaign to ask Lungu to hand over the Presidency to this able man.
