The project Wedson Nyirenda was hired to do by South African club Baroka FC has arrived when his side takes to the field this weekend in the Telkom Cup.
Baroka hired Nyirenda to keep them in the top-eight but with the prime objective being reaching a Cup final this season.
Nyirenda attempts to overcome that big hurdle in the Telkom Cup last 16 this Saturday when they host Golden Arrows at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
It will be the two sides first competitive meeting this season and comes exactly three weeks before Arrows host Baroka in a league fixture on November 10 in Durban.
But Baroka head into the Cup date struggling in the league and are second from bottom with 7 points from ten matches played.
Nyirenda also goes into the match seeking his first competitive win since beating Cape Town City 2-1 in league action at the same venue on August 8.
Since then, Baroka has collected four draws and as many defeats.
