Respect the Office of the President- Freedom Fighter

Share

A Ndola based freedom fighter, Isaac Chileshe has called on Zambians to have respect for the Presidency.

Mr. Chileshe said Zambians have lost direction because they have now started daring the highest office of land.

He stressed that it is regrettable that a section of society has risen with impunity trying to drug the name of the President into disrepute.

“The Presidency is the highest office of our land that is the reason we need to respect it and it’s office-bearers. It is a pity that a lot Zambians have lost direction and have poured all sorts of negative things on the Head of State,” Mr. Chileshe said.

Mr. Chileshe has also called on Members of Parliament not to be segregative when it comes to the distribution of empowerment programmes in their constituencies but to embrace everyone.

He said Parliamentarians should know that they don’t only represent people who voted for them but everyone as long as they are members of that particular constituency.

Mr. Chileshe said law makers should learn from the Republican President who has embraced every Zambian citizen irrespective of their political inclination as can be evidenced by a number of programmes aimed at uplifting the welfare of the vulnerable.

“We as an association of freedom fighters are behind the leadership of President Lungu. It is in this line that we request that all his well-meaning Zambians to show respect to that office,” he said

  1. Does the president respect us in realization that we put him there?

I doubt if this is really a freedom fighter and he must be wrong one.

We don’t have freedom in our country which he purports to have fought for and yet he calls himself a freedom fighter.

Please LT do not give such people audience he has a character of PF cadre.

    PF must go!

  2. Upnd donkeys want to disparage the Republican Presidency but keep their party presidency sacred. So what would happen if they came to power?? They would viciously punish anyone who criticises their “sacred” hh, they wouldn’t allow anyone to challenge him and would sacrifice the Republican Constitution to please him and make him life president like they have done with the party constitution.

  3. Narrow minded people who don’t understand that Zambia is a constitutional democracy not a monarchy. The president is a public figure subject to scrutiny & criticism. We respect the office not the individual when are holding him to account.

  4. Very outdated thinking. Everybody should be respected. All citizens must be respected, Kalaba goes somewhere, police follow and trample on his rights same with HH, and somebody says respect somebody and that somebody who does not even respect others. Shaa…

  5. Not even your child believe that nonsense. You earn respect, it’s to distributed like Lungu t-shirts.
Being President Doesn’t Change Who You Are—It Reveals Who You Are

  6. Antiono mwanza AKA Zambian citizen is
having a meltdown over the loss of bill 10 ………hehehehe

As a media director , are you being blamed for not lieing enough to pass bill 10 ??

Hehehehehehe ……. Antonio , tell lungu he can reintroduce bill 10 after 2021 when he wins.

What is the problem kanshi ???

  7. Never heard of this freedom fight but let it be known that the Office of Zambian President belongs to all Zambians. Whoever holds the office works for the Zambian people not the other way round. Zambians have the right to ask questions and evaluate whoever holds that office. Further, all Zambians are guided by the constitution which is the pillar that everyone must respect.

  8. There are limits to freedom of expression, that is what the freedom fighter is saying. Many of those castigating the freedom fighter are admirers of Magufuli – try insulting him in Tanzania and see what will happen to you.

  9. Only a true patriotic person will have respect for the President, irrespective of political allegiances. Once the election results are out, the office of President should not be dragged into politics.

  14. Not all Zambians disrespect our President. Certain groups are actively involved in social media and purposely use hateful words, criticize the President.

  15. Recently PF gave a strict warning to UPND youths because they always found booing and disrespecting President Lungu during his work visit in the provinces and did not even apologize for their behavior.

  16. This is the reason why such people were ruled by one man for 27 years. The Presidency is not a monarchy nor a deity sir. The person who sits in that office is a servant not a ruler. He is elected to serve the people and if he misbehaves, the people have every right to criticise. If he insults people, he should expect the same from the people.

  17. 56 years after independence and we are still talking like that? With due respect and thanks for taking us out of the white man’s clutch and into some hithertofore unknown foray; let me just say we need to have respect for the entire country including the presidency and yet also respect the right to reply, the right to scrutinize the occupant of the office and his henchmen. Enough said. I hope they are taking care of you well sir.

  18. Chileshe, are you truly a freedom fighter? How much have you been payed ? Don’t be like a tick on the skin of the cow even when it’s dead you’re still hanging around. WAKE UP.

  19. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. The upnd are stuck in their tribal and uncivilized ways. No point trying to change these stiffnecked f00ls. As for lukanga I am scared to comment on your post because that muscle scares me. But anyway ine ku skulu nenzo menya bantu 5 at the same time.
