Mighty Edge Closer to Top 4 Promotion Slots After Beating KYSA

Mighty Mufulira Wanderers are just four points away from the last promotion spot in the FAZ National Division 1 championships following a 1-0 win away at Kabwe Youth on Sunday.

Young attacking midfielder Collins Makungu propelled Mighty to victory with a late goal at the President Stadium.

The Young Mufulira Wanderers product registered his goal in the 80th minute to hand Mighty their second consecutive win.

Makungu recently graduated from the Mighty academy.

Wanderers are placed ninth on the table with 28 points, just four behind fourth placed Trident, after Week 21 games played over the weekend.

Meanwhile, draws characterized weekend action in the FAZ National Division 1 as Lumwana Radiants stayed top of the table.

Lumwana forced a goalless draw against Livingstone Pirates in Southern Province.

Lumwana leads the table with 40 points after 21 matches played.

Napsa remained second on the table following an away goalless draw at Luapula Green Eagles.

Napsa have 40 points as Lumwana command the championship via goal aggregate.

FC Muza thumped Police College 4-0 at home to stay third on the table.

Muza have 36 points and Police College are bottom of the table on 16 points.

Trident are fourth on the table after beating Quattro 1-0 in the Kalumbila local derby.
