Tanzanian Vice President arrives in Zambia

Vice President of Tanzania, John Nchimbi, has arrived in Zambia for a two day working visit.

The media reports that Dr Nchimbi arrived via Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, aboard an Air Tanzania flight which touched down at 14:50 hours.

He was received by Minister of Health, Elijah Muchima, alongside Lusaka Mayor Chilando Chitangala, Tanzanian Ambassador to Zambia, Matthew Mkingule and other senior government officials from both Zambia and Tanzania.

Dr Nchimbi is expected to participate in the signing of an agreement for the revitalising of the Tanzania – Zambia Railways Authority (TAZARA) scheduled for tomorrow in Lusaka.

He is expected to return to Tanzania once his working schedule concludes.

  1. We really should have not received this leader at this moment. Sometimes we must not be forgetful. The burials are still going on and as a friendly nation, Zambia must be tactful in working with our neighbors who don’t seem to uphold the tenets of democracy and unaliving their nationals. KK and Nyerere are turning in their graves.

This regime of suluhu is murderous and dealing with as normal gvt seems like patting on the back for horrendous violence it leashed on Tanzania citizens, with fatalities reaching some thounds as per reports from media. If AU and SADC were serious organisations some decisive action would been taken by now, yet it appears it’s now business as usual

  3. Short visit to sign a deal that’s been in the pipeline for sometime now together with the Chinese. One of them would have to visit to Zambia or Tanzania.
