President Hakainde Hichilema has called for unity, support and love among Zambians, stressing the importance of building families and friendships based on positive influence.
President Hichilema urged elders and leaders to guide young people in investing early in positivity and good values, emphasizing that it is their duty to do so.
He expressed confidence in the country’s future, noting that young people on the right path reflect Zambia’s potential and encouraged them to remain focused in life.
President Hichilema was speaking as guest of honour at the Youth-led Interdenominational Worship Fellowship organised by the SDA Woodlands Conference Youth Ministries.
He also assured youths, government’s full support through education and other resources to help them achieve their aspirations.
“I have guided the Cabinet to move the education sector from an economic to a social sector,” he said.
During the event, Pastor Evans Manjemela preached on unity in Christ, emphasizing that God’s kingdom is for all Zambians, regardless of tribe or religion. “If we are going to achieve our purpose, we need to be united in Christ as one, because we are the children of the same blood, Jesus,” he stated.
Pastor Manjemela also revealed that President Hichilema has empowered young people with K200 thousand to support their Shibuyunji farming project.
And president of the Southern Zambia Union Conference, Vanny Munyumbwe, highlighted President Hichilema’s commitment to dialogue and consultation over confrontation and appealed to youths to remain innovators and thinkers, ready to safeguard Zambia’s peace.
