Sharp Razor Cuts Zesco Cables ‎

Konkola Blades stunned former champions Zesco United 1-0 in a delayed Super League match played on Thursday at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.

‎Stephen Mutama scored the only goal after 21 minutes via free kick as Blades held on to the lead to overcome Zesco.

This was victory number seven for the Beston Chambeshi coached side.

‎It was a second straight loss for Zesco, who remains winless in their last four matches.

‎Meanwhile, the win moved Konkola two places up to number seven with 30 points in 21 matches.

‎Zesco remains stuck on number 11 with 25 points in 19 matches.

‎In the other delayed match played on Thursday, Power Dynamos missed a chance to go top of the Super League table following a goalless draw against Red Arrows away at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

‎Power would have toppled leaders Arrows had they won this rescheduled week 19 match.

‎Arrows tops the table with 40 points, one ahead of second placed Power, after playing 21 matches.

‎Power have two games in hand.
