Four suspects apprehended for robbery of motorbike

The Zambia Police in Chadiza has apprehended four suspects tagged to the robbery of a motor bike on April 3, 2026 in Chadiza of Eastern Province.

This follows a report that Godfret Mbewe 52, of Chiwongo Farms in Mlolo Chiefdom was attacked, beaten and robbed off his unregistered motorbike which is a Gatoma brand model GY150-5, red in colour.

Mr Mbewe also described his motorbike’s Chassis and engine but with unknown numbers.

Facts on the matter is that on April 3, 2026, around 20:00, the victim being Godfrey Mbewe was attacked and robbed off his motorbike near Yobe Village in Mlolo Chiefdom by some people who attacked him with sticks.

In reference to the attack, Police in Chadiza moved in and on April 04, 2026 and managed to apprehend four (4) suspects.

Those apprehended include Adriano Tembo 51, Usuf Milanzi 56 and Costee Mbewe 20 all from Yobe Village in Mlolo Chiefdom while Harry Milanzi 35 is from Fwololo Village of Mlolo Chiefdom.

Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba confirmed the incident to the media.

Mr Mweemba also mentioned that the victim has since been referred to Chipata Central Hospital for further treatment as his condition remains unstable.
