The opposition MMD has with immediate effect suspended its National Youth Secretary Bowman Lusambo for alleged gross misconduct and bringing the name of the party into disrepute.
Party Spokesman Rapheal Nakachinda told Journalists that Mr Lusambo was suspended on Monday, September 22 2015.
Mr Nakachinda said Mr. Lusambo has been suspended due to his failure to toil the party line.
He said Mr Lusambo’s close association with the ruling Patriotic Front has been a source of concern for the MMD.
Mr Nakachinda added that Mr Lusambo clearly failed to advance the causes and beliefs of the MMD.
‘Yes i can confirm that Bowman Lusambo has been suspended from the party. A few weeks ago he was served with a letter charging him for gross misconduct and bringing the party’s name in disrepute for his continued statements and utterances through the media that are against the party policy on many issues,’ Mr Nakachinda said.
He added, ‘His clear alignment with the PF even when as a party leadership has made its position clear, you see him going contrary to that position.’

When you shall hear of suspensions and commotions in the party, do not be surprised for these things are groans of a dying party and must come to pass before the party becomes history.

If he had been smarter then he is albeit with limited education he should have ‘let’ RB’ run in 2015.RB would have been sent to the political archives. Instead he fought Kachingwe, Muhabi, Siliya, Banda etc. the result? 15000 votes that’s not even Munali constituency alone. He was even pipped by Edith. Is this confirming Lusambo’s claims that he is being prevented from ascending to the Vice-Presidency of the party? It is common Zambian practice to kill off rivals before their intentions come to public fruition. What a useless political landscape.

Are bloggers really serious – Is this Lusambo thing a factor in politics to even think of him being a VC of a party? Please give us a break guys. The Lusambo chap has smelt money from Lungu – too late though because Lungu is standing at the exit door!
Good move, I would rather have 100 loyal members fighting for the same cause than having 1000 pulling in different directions. Though you are not likely to form government next year, as an association, your members need to abide by the rules. You need to do the same to MPS like Vincent Mwale, he was a campaign manager for another party instead of your own party. Meaning after getting his gratuity, he will cross over. He is currently playing a fool while he is aligning himself to where he wants to be. He was once my hero just like Muhabi Lungu, but alas shame on the people we entrust with governance.
