Christopher Munthali has finally moved to Nkana from Power Dynamos after an acrimonious standoff over his move.
Nkana and Power agreed terms on Tuesday evening that saw Munthali leave the latter for the former following a heated wrangle over his player status between the two Kitwe arch-rivals.
“Munthali is now a Nkana player and moves on an outright purchase,” Power club secretary Ricky Mamfunda said.
Munthali however will have to wait until April to kick the ball for Nkana because he is currently in the middle of a two-month ban that began on February 10 for abrogating his contract with Power.
This is after alleging that his contract with Power ended on December 31, 2015 thus making him a free agent to join Nkana.
However, Power won the case against Nkana and the player after proving that Munthali still had a contract with them that was due to expire on December 31, 2016.
Munthali is not new to Nkana after spending the 2013 and 2014 season’s on loan there from Power.
He won the 2013 FA Super Division title with Nkana and was instrumental in their debut group stage participation in the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup.
