George Lwandmiana insists Zambia are still very much in the hunt for qualification to the 2017 Africa Cup.
This is despite picking up just two out of a possible six points in their Group E qualifying doubleheader against Congo-Brazzaville over the last week.
Zambia were held 1-1 by Congo at home in Ndola on March 23 before they fought back on March 27 in Brazzaville to finish by the same scoreline.
The results see Congo and Zambia drop a place each to 2nd and 3rd respectively but tied on 6 points while Guinea Bissau raced past them into top spot on 7 points after four matches played.
Guinea Bissau beat Kenya 1-0 home and away to upset the commanding order in Group E.
“I am sure we still have two more games we to play one with Guinea who are now topping the group and then play Kenya,” Lwandamina said.
“I am sure we can collect maximum points and come top.”
Zambia visit Guinea Bissau on June 3 in a penultimate Group E match before hosting Kenya in their final fixture on September 2.
Unless you change your game plan and also include key players like Mayuka in your team, you will not win any two of the remaining matches. Be transparent in your selection of players. Avoid nepotism, favoritism, tribalism and bribery wen selecting players. Choose players on merit. As zambians we expect a lot from players representing the national team. Your team wud do well if combined with new and experienced players. Thanks!
New coach is what we need. Congo played like a real soccer team. Our boys were just kicking the ball aimlessly. You can see that the Zambian team has individual talent, but the coach had no strategy to stop Congo. Im not even sure why Im commenting on the obvious. Zambia wont win with this guy. Even if we go to Gabon 2017, it will be another humiliating defeat in the first round. To me, Lwandamina and Janza are on the same level. An International coach is what we need.

Forget about the Africa cup. Zambia is out unless the coach is building castles in the air or he is so sure pigs will fly one day in our lifetime. FAZ need to go out there and find us a coach. My first choice for a quick fix which we need asap mind the world cup qualifiers are just around the corner is the famous white witch doctor last coached congo before stepping down. He obviously made a bunch of whipping boys into a formidable team. Congo has being tough to beat recently. They had a part to play when Nigeria failed to qualify for 2015 Africa cup. So they are not going to late the advantage over Zambia slip away. FAZ need to concentrate on world cup qualifiers. We need a proven coach with vast experience coaching in africa. Give him one year contract and see what he can do.

The coach must look for a better goalkeeper. Mweene is a bench-warmer at Sundowns therefore it is not wise to depend on such a goalkeeper. In both games he made elementary errors. I have serious doubts that Zambia will make it to Afcon 2017.
