Shepolopolo prepare for Mighty Zimbabwe

The Zambia National Women Team has launched preparations for the final qualifying round of the 2016 African Women Championship against the Mighty Warriors of Zimbabwe.

Shepolopolo travels to Zimbabwe for the first leg on April 9 in Harare before the Lusaka return on a date to be confirmed.

Coach Albert Kachinga’s 23-member squad set up camp in Lusaka last week on Thursday.

Kachinga has returned faith in the players that helped Zambia to advance to the final qualifying round after eliminating Namibia 5-3 over two legs.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe reached the final round after seeing off Tanzania’s Twiga Stars with a 3-2 aggregate win in the previous round.

Overall winners between Zambia and Zimbabwe will join hosts Cameroon for the final tournament to be played from November 19 to December 3 later this year.
