The FDD has cautioned students at the University of Zambia and the Copperbelt University against voting for the PF because they will withdraw their meal allowances once they have a fresh mandate.
Commenting on government’s U-turn on the withdraw of meal allowances for students at the two universities FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza said the PF were trying to hoodwink students so that they can vote for them and later withdraw the allowance when voted for.
He said it is up to the students to either choose to be lied to or vote the PF out of office so that they put a government that has their interests at heart.
He said it is desperation which has made the PF government to reinstate the allowances for the students after realising that their decision would cost them votes on 11th August.
And Mr Mwanza said the policy inconsistency of the PF government was worrying stakeholders in the country.
Mr Mwanza explained that it was difficult to plan in the PF government as they have continued to shift from one policy to another something he said was contributing to the high cost of living being experienced in the country

I think he has ZERO, so his talk is naïve because if he had a child born of him he cant encourage lawlessness as he is doing now. We as parents who have children understand what the government was trying to do and we supported it coz we don’t send our children to the university to be clowns and damage people’s property. PF has shown a lot of inconsistencies through and through. It’s clear that they are very desperate and it shows. The real situation will be seen after the elections. What has been witnessed in recent times is a quick fix. UNZA opened quickly, the Kwacha recovering dramatically. I am sure we’ll see more miracles in the run up to the elections.
