The Magistrates Court in Isoka today convicted two supporters of the UPND for Causing Malicious Damage to property.
The cadres are identified as Belvin Simbeye aged 38 of Lolani village, Chief Kafwimbi in Isoka district and Kelvin Sichula aged 38 of Kawenga village of Isoka District and appeared in cout on Monday.
The duo on 14th June,2016 between 09 00 hours and 11 hours were reported to have damaged a windscreen of a Toyota Corolla registration number ABG 1572, green in colour, property Simon Sinyinza, a local resident of Isoka.
This happened during a UPND political rally held at Kaunda Square grounds in Isoka District.
The court fined the duo K1, 100 each or face one-year imprisonment with hard labour in default. And Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Ester Mwaata Katongo has since warned all political cadres, irrespective of the party they belong to, to desist from engaging themselves in violent activities or risk going to prison.
“This serves as a warning to all violent political cadres. As police, we will ensure that all cases of violence reported will be thoroughly investigated and see to it that all those involved are taken to court expeditiously. For second offenders, we will ensure that we plead with the courts to mete out stiffer punishment as a deterrent measure,” Mrs Katongo said.
How come only UPND cadres get convicted?
Most certainly delusioned increasingly overzeous offshore branch cadre Larry Mweetwa (cam Wanzelu) has not remitted funds from the party’s mayhem accounts. Considering that the poor Simbeye & Sichula are not bantustans, the have been left dance alone.
Because they are violent
HH is VERY VERY VERY DISHONESTY.
You cannot say that if I lose I will not accept the results.
But you say that if you win you will accept the results – in the same environment, same elections, same rules, same atmosphere.
Who then can trust you HH? Under normal circumstances a person will not trust a person who says if this same thing is given to me then it is a good thing, but if the same thing is given to someone else it is poisonous – same thing??? Is that not an act of selfishness??
I had little respect for HH but his conduct is becoming a big trial for my trust in him.
Doesn’t HH have advisors? If he does, is that what HH’s advisors advise him?
“If I lose I will not accept the results, if I win I will accept the results of this same election, held under the same environment”, Please, Please, Please!!!
I think that for me I see dishonesty, selfishness, greedy and not allowance for democracy in HH’s conduct.
“If I pass No.1, then our teacher is good and knows how to teach; if someone else passes No.1, then our teacher is bad and does not know how to teach”, says a pupil. Do you believe this pupil?
“If I win, the process is good elections are free and fair, if I lose, the same exact process is bad and the elections are free and fair”, SURE!!!!
And you still manage to get people to trust you???
stupid question. u know the answer u tonga cow ….bcoz they are unzambianly very very rude and violent like their grade 4 dropout leaders
These supporters are blindly perpetrating violence in support of HH’s quest to sell off more Zambian companies and GBM’s quest to get more contracts and tenders from Ministry of Defence ! Sonta
And what about replacement of the windscreen? Dont tell me about insursnce you sadistic masonists and drillers!
This is good. All violent political idiots should be caged, put upside down on a kampelwa for a short while to drain back the brains which could have gone down their body through osmosis.
Gotta be the speediest justice on Zambian record from offence to conviction and sentence in 6 days…drum roll for this magistrate seriously and I am so hoping no one is sitting in jail for over one year for assault petty theft or other criminal allegation i Isoka….nah the jails and remand prisons are empty because justice is speedy in Isoka
This is selective application of law by ZRP.They are arresting UPND cadres but leaving PF thugs to walk the streets scot free. A well known PF thug and former Big Brother contestant, Max Chongo has been involved in 2 gun incidents but up to now has not been arrested.Max is protected from arrest and prosecution by the powers that be. Zambia under Lungu is now an Animal Farm where some animals are more equal than others. Violent, thuggish and lawless Lungu must fall come 11th August 2016. Amen!
VIVA HH 2016
NI JUSTICE YA NYOKO NO WUSO . . . . WENYO
