Zanaco target 80-pointer

2016 FAZ Super Division winners Zanaco are seeking to amass at least 80 points at the end of the campaign.

Zanaco, who won the league with three matches to spare, have 78 points from 33 matches played.

Speaking after Saturday’s 1-0 win at Mufulira Blackpool, Zanaco assistant coach Dabid Chilufya said the Bankers are taking the remaining match seriously.

Zanaco wraps up the league campaign with an away Week 32 delayed fixture at Nkwazi.

“We want to win any game that comes our way because we have a target of getting to 80 points. We also want to win our last game to get to 81 points,” Chilufya said.

He added that Zanaco worked hard to win the league title.

“Winning the league has come from hard work. I am happy with the way players responded from January up to now,” Chilufya said.

Zanaco were presented with the trophy immediately after overcoming Blackpool at Shinde Stadium amid wild celebrations.
