25 year old impersonator nabbed in Mpika District

 A 25 -year- old man of Chikwanda Village has been arrested for forgery and impersonating a police officer in Mpika District of Muchinga Province.

 ZANIS reports that Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Godwin Phiri has confirmed the incident in an interview today adding that  the suspect was arrested yesterday in the main business district of the town.

 He said after a tip off by a concerned member of the public alleging that Gilbert Phiri aged 25 of Chisanga village in chief Chikwanda also of Arakan Barracks in Lusaka was posing as a police officer and an Office of the President ( OP ).

 The Commissioner says during investigations, the suspect was found in possession of  forged Zambia Police and OP identification cards,  respectively.

 In addition the suspect had a photo of himself wearing a police uniform.

 He says the suspect has since been arrested and is in police custody.
