Your Excellency Sir,
I checked out the State House web site for a link to you but to no avail. I have thus opted for an open letter. Here are words from young Elihu.
1. Chief aim of leadership: The chief aim of leadership is to preserve life in dignity and to protect property in prosperity. Whatever laws and decisions you make, think of how they impact on the least and lowliest including the unborn. When you are gone, individuals should be better off than when you started.
2. The Press: It is obvious that you will not please all men at all times. Avoid endless ‘Punch and Judy’ politics. Concentrate on communicating what you have achieved and intend to achieve. Move the agenda and make the news. A free and independent press is a great asset to democratic leadership. It would be very wise to privatise the national news and television media. I know you are true and sincere; therefore, you have nothing to fear from such a move. This is an age of informed politics and ideas. Young Zambians do not care about tribes, it is the older who have such hang ups.
3. Privatisation: Corruption crept to the highest office in the land and that makes it difficult or even impossible for us to trust our leaders. You have a chance to rebuild confidence in the highest office of the land. Learn from the past privatisation mistakes. A policy of empowerment of Zambians is in place. Here is an opportunity to act. Let every Zambian have an opportunity to buy through the LUSE. You mean well but people have been abused and lost their trust.
4. Approachability: You are the President and no one can take that from you. Open your office to people from all walks of life. Do not surround yourself with so many ‘onion skins’ so that by the time people get to you they have tears in their eyes! It is true that the battle is won by having many advisors, but if the advisors are of your own appointing, know assuredly that their advice is as good as yours. Make use of independent advisors, Non-party cadres.
5. Republican Presidency. Your party presented you to the Zambian people. It is the Zambian people that voted for you; therefore try to separate these roles. You would do well to ban party cadres dancing and grovelling in the dust at your feet on State functions. Party activities should be left to party functions. Don’t think 2011, think, TODAY.
6. Learn from history. Take a leaf from Zambia’s golden age, 1964-1969. Small but efficient cabinet of equals!
God bless our President!
God bless Zambia.
If he is wise,he will take that timely advise.
Only Shika and Tetamalilo will read that and they will not care about it, the big Man wont even see it they just say it’s Junk
This man will never listen to Zambians! He was just not cut for that.
Ok, but we never voted for him, he was imposed on us by the office of the president (the most abused office since 1964)
Good letter, Ngoma!
Fellow Zambians, do you ever ask yourself why we do too much politicking than work in our country? take any newspaper, there will be more politics than things like business etc that can actually make our lives better. Even on this site, more progressive articles receive very little response. Tune to any radio station, its politics through and through. This, to me, is the reason foreigners find it easy to make money on our heads while we politik. This is counter productive!! Fellow young Zambians, lets work and change the way we do things in Zambia. If not carefull, some of you will spend your whole lifetimes grumbling about this and that. There is something BETTER you can do than POLITIKING. COME ON!!!!
This is very good advice. Let us hope those that are close to the president will draw his attention to it. They say: Those who have ears let them hear and those who have eyes let them see. Let us hope the president has eyes and ears.
May this transitional president listen to these wise words from Charles C Ngoma.
Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy
Name
> Kwena nimwebo mweba giva, elyo noku geta
> nimwebo mweba
> geta
> Mwaliisa tugiva Levy, elyo mwaisa mugeta
> Elyo nangu twaleilishanya ati ni kabiki, awe,
> alitubombela
sana
> Muluse lwenu mwaisa tugiva Nyamasoya
> Yangu!
> Aweeeee….. . mwiikata na ku chani
> Iseni bwangu bwangu mu mugete.
What an uplifting letter, hope he will read it & take your advise.
Whoever wrote this letter deserves a pat on his/her back because he/she was just pointing out nothing but the TRUTH.Now its up to the president to read the letter and assimilate the advice stipulated in it.The saying goes, ushumfwa pafinono napa fingi pene takomfwe!!
May his advisers present to this article to him.May hellfire rain on those who chose to ignore wise words from a simple, concerned citizen.
Very good writing. Good bless you Ngoma and the President, i hope he gets to read this.
Good advise there Mr Ngoma. It takes the wise and humble to listen to such advise. I just wonder if RB and his advisors fall into this category.
Charles C Ngoma,
If you were wise and well meaning you would not have put a letter meant for a RB on the blog when he has an office, public and party channels. OOP’s Regis Phiri, CJ Sakala, Speaker Mwanamwamba, Chief Whip VJ Mwaanga,General Chisuzi, Secretary Kanganja, Chairman Mabenga, Party SG Dr.Katele, Finance Dr.Situmbeko, Dr.Mwansa, Dr.Kenneth Kaunda he often meets whenever he visits his sick sister Mama Betty Kaunda, Teta, Mulongoti, some Bishops or the US Ambassador among the people he confers with could have been your channel. But because you are a political cadre fantasising your fellow armchair critic in straight cadre jackets you think the whole lot of RB blogs too to read it.Good luck to you! Wisdom wise you have none.
I still have a problem how we analyse issues. Please go back 9-10 months after Levy became president. For those that can remember, very few people gave him chance to achive anything. actually, the Post even refused to recognise him president. If you remember, they never refered to him as President. I think we need to be real. Lets not heap praises now that he is dead when we were the same ones insulting the same way we are doing now. Secondly, I dont think RB needs to please crtics like you becoz there is no gain from doing so becoz your primary aim is to make him fail the way you tried to make Levy fail. All he needs to do is DO THE RIGHT THING. You failed then and you will surely fail this time around. All the best
#6 fresh Politics: When political leadership is good, people tend to talk much less about politics & even work not only harder but smarter too.
This letter does not tell us anything new! Talking about the same things that we already know. In any case if ngoma is well meaning why not have an appointment with RB instead of using the blog where MOST comments are not serious.
#15, Easy
Back off!
Unfortunately some people are already losing jobs over Post’s ‘pornography case’. Mr. R n’ B is still making controversial decisions. I wonder if these wise words will penetrate his thick skull.
Fresh Politics,
You are not only unparallel wise moralist, but a realist distant from these Groupthink idealist driven by hyocrisy and some fallacy of reitification.Glad you have brought up the crrodness of the Post who only converted when ZA was on the table. No voice stood with levy on any blog excerpt three or so voices. Its very dangerous for a leader to be an appeaser of every interest group.Even President Obama has the Beast and heaviest protection ever because such groups ever negative are there and plenty.
Easy thanks 4 your input.A letter for RB on the blog?????
#7blue blood, dude, that will be asking too much of ‘those close to the president’ to bring such sentiments to rb. it would be easier for them to pluck their own eyes out that to relay such advice. besides that, no matter how compelling and well-intended this letter might be, the only thing rb wud deduce from it wud be that it is opposition propaganda and ignore it. dudes and dudettes, u have to face the fact, no matter how painful, that the dude in state house and all the dudes that surround him in the form of alleged advisors, are non starters. to describe them as mediocore even wud be too much of a compliment. their first objective is themselves so if u are under the mistaken notion that any form of human tragedy will move them, then be advised to think again.
GOVERNMENT has dispatched a six-man delegation to deliver a pregnant Friesian cow to Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete
#16 Fresh politics, dude, i was one of the most vocal critcs of the late, hated his guts and this mainly was coz of the way he was imposed on us. but am not alone when i say that as time went by, and definitley long b4 he passed, i grew to respect him coz i saw he had a vision for this country. problem with the incumbent…were does one start..he fails to inpsire any form of confidence AT ALL that he’s capable of keepin his house in order. anybody can tell that he moves in the direction that pipo like teta or mulongoti tell him to move. he is not his own man and pliz, do not try and say otherwise coz he is not. LPM wud not tolerate Bullc.r.a..p. thats why these chaps blubbering were mute during the late’s tenure. explain Mabenga’s appointment, pliz! Explain annocunig that chiluba was…
gud letter Mr ngoma.. RB has failed.
Zambians can we vote for new people we are tired of these recycled selfish politician. instead of training young minds they still want to be in power even when they cant perform. The world has changed. we need new developments, infrastgructure etc.
we are very under developed despite gaining independence a long time ago.
i always feel sad when i see small countries doing better than ours in all areas. please zambians… we are not meent to be poor we can do it. lets remove these visionless leaders.
Look at the salaries civil servants get as compared to the cost of living. some one gets 1.4m but decent accomodations cost 1.5m.
when i think of many hardworking zambians who are being exploited.. my heart feels for them.
this is too much suffering.
RB’s thick skull can never learn anything from such a good letter. recently we had the national indaba-i personally dont know of any results.expecting nyamasoya to learn from such a letter is expecting 2 much from this fxxl we call ur president.
How dare you think the whole president of the republic of zambia can read a letter on lusaka times from some ngoma somewhere!! the fact that the author beleives such can happen gives a picture of what kind of social grouping he belongs. Next time you want to send a letter to the president go to cabinate office or provincial ministers office and not lusaka times. Its a public office and there are no difficulties at all, you will even be issued with a delivery notice. however make sure there is substance in the letter with a practicle action plan that is measurable in terms of progress. if you send philosophical rhetoric like the junk above with no starndard of measure i can assure you it wont go anywhere.
no ways #23, saw that also. Also saw that Shikas wants to close Sky FM coz of Sky Forum where people call in and tune facts about this govt. facts that the govt does not want to hear coz the truth is painful. Senior Citizen, dude, i know u swallowed a dictionary as a youngster when the maid dropped it in yo porridge, so i hold nuthin against you. I just hate a leader who’s hobby is to play ostrich and shove his head in the ground.
Beutiful words wasted. Just read the POST the man has fired Ms Kambikambi from some organization for standing by the POST on the so called porn. I wonder how Mr RB will live when he goes out of office. It will be difficult for him even to ask for salt from his prospective neighbours.
What we need is a young Leader who is tuned in with the modern World and not recycled old Unipists with Mposamabwe ideas . What can you teach a Great Grand Father? He is too set in His archiac ways.
Take it or leave it an advice is an important tool to decission making. As the saying goes; one that does not take heed to advice went with Human excreta to mother in- law.
It is actually advise people and not advice!
I totaly agree with you # 29,we need young blood now to lead the MMD.
#32 Madam Lara ‘ Is that your picture? You look sweet enough to each
#16 Fresh politics, dude, i was one of the most vocal critcs of the late, hated his guts and this mainly was coz of the way he was imposed on us. but am not alone when i say that as time went by, and definitley long b4 he passed, i grew to respect him coz i saw he had a vision for this country. problem with the incumbent he fails to inpsire any form of confidence AT ALL that heās capable of keepin his house in order. anybody can tell that he moves in the direction that pipo like teta or mulongoti tell him to move. he is not his own man and pliz, do not try and say otherwise coz he is not. LPM wud not condone Bullc.r.a..p. thats why these chaps blubbering were mute during the lateās tenure. explain Mabengaās appointment, pliz! Explain declarin that chiluba was cool and expect…
#15,Easy,lots of sense in your posting man!
#15 Easy, You seem to take an issue about an open letter I do not agree with you. Great and more effective presidents around the world have been written open letters by their citizens and do appreciate and respond to such correspondence. President Obama has been in office for just six months and has already been written a few open letters, may be you are not even aware. This is not to say the letters have to be appeasing or full of bootlicking stuff. I bet if Charles Ngoma’s open letter was about singing praises of this visionless president you would not have talked about your channels of communication. What has your president done for Zambia since he took over and by the way don’t forget how he became president. Any way you are entitled to your views.
#22 we envy the fact that you are based in USA,(i suppose). But words such as dudes and dudettes are too prominant in your comments hence they spoil the whole thing.Don’t get me wrong i still like the format of your commenting.
#6 thank you, you couldnt have put it any better than me. Zambia concetrates so much on politic than anything else and we all know Zambian politics theory( words) with no action. How many debates, interviews, etc are brought on TV with totally no physical positive outcome just purely boring young children with useless talk. I hate Zambian politics and I can never ague it, because its a share waste of time and energy
RB will not take heed of this valuable advice. Its just going to be dismissed as from another academic chap who has got all the time to blog. Any way there is time for every thing and his or their days are numbered.
The writer sounds like a political cadre or some uninformed character based on embarrassing the president. He should first find out the established procedure.
Is State house website the established procedure for reaching your president. Does the president have time to read Lusaka Times.
If the writer has chosen a wrong or ineffective means of communication, he should not blame the president for not responding to him, because he may not have heard from him.
Ba # 33,Kina shangwe, ninebo, however i truly think that #15 is totally right, this article does not help because Ba C.Ngoma should have sent this letter to state house, not posting it on LT,as his excellency has no time to blog & read it.
Good advice there!!!
# 37 Shimuchita, dude, its sumthin that cant be helped, am sorry, and i have never stepped a foot outside Zed, these dudes have my flag all mixed up, dont even know where its from. i am, sadly, a victim of too much TV. thanks for the gentle crit though, dig yo comments too, one made me LMAO on another thread. Peace dude š
Wow Fresh Politics i think you are a man of action like me. I have never come accross that in Zambians. I like your views
# 40, UK-Zed observer, dude, the prez as a prez has a duty to keep himself informed bout wats cuttin anywhere, specially his country. Obama has a blackberry which means he has internet access and obviously his advisors alert him to websites that concern him, same way these chaps who call themselves advisors here shud know about LT and inform RB who in turn will tune in and see that he only has 2.5 bloggers in support of his nonsense. wat basically u’re sayin is he shud have his head buried in the sand. see no evil, hear no evil?
ADVISE IS GOOD, BUT THE WISE DON’T NEED IT AND THE FO.OLS WON’T TAKE IT.
ZAMBIA IS DOOMED
#43 dudelove,That’s cool,fair play to you!!!
PEACE š
very good and wise words, any serious minded person can take them.my brother keep up the good spirit of advising.
Can’t just appreciate naturez beauty in a woman without “thinking beyond”? Lord gracious hear us! The President haz been well ADVISED and am sure he will take the ADVICE.
#48, living Jay, dude, the day RB wud take such advice, i can assure u, Osama Bin Laden would convert to Christianity.
Very good advise but wrongly placed my dear, just be careful otherwise they will investigate you.I feel MMD is no longer democratic ,alot of people are looking for position or jobs so whatever you say will be misinterplated hence against the the president
What a good piece of advice, Ngoma. Nomba, problem nibamunshebwa baile nefya busalikubuko. It is my wish that he continues ravaging the country for easy passage in 2011. Meawhile good prayer number 9.
I like this approach of appeasing the dictator yet laying the truth bare!! “Onion skins”, “Don’t think 2011, think TODAY” Lovely stuff, original and refreshing writing, keep it up!
Tiyende pomodzi ndi mutima umo tiyende pomodzi ndi mutima umo…………..tye tyli pomodzi
Charles C.Ngoma, your message to the President is well received by wrong people like me. The targetted individual belongs to the old school and cannot change. ‘You cannot teach an old dog new tricks’ the old adage goes, period. Rupiah Banda is synonimous with UNIP and therefore it means ‘NO CHANGE’. To get power and keep it, he believes only Eastern province is the power base which can help him do so, when it is not true as you (Ngoma) have recognised. God bless mother Zambia.
I dont know why fellows keep refering to Obama. We are in Zed and have a President of our own. We are not a proud nation, their is no pride in our people. And there’s so much hate going round it’s now unbearable. The rest of the world looks at us and luff. We are jokers. If you are not happy with RB go to your local MP and voice out your concerns. They in turn will take it up in parliament and impeach him if the concerns hold any water. Crying out on blogs and insulting your president makes us even more F##lish then the one you insult
Nice letter A’Ngoma if only the President will not think it is pornographic., Zambia has no room for obscene materials
#9I think your prayer should be adopted as a national prayer.Because God and Jesus are fade up with Zambians asking for this and that… The heaven’s hot line is congested with Zambians asking for things like a bag of melie meal, school fees and what not ….God has other important things to do like trying to resolve the Iraq war, stopping the nuclear test in Korea.
You have made an important request in your prayer.”Lekeni Katula Lesa mukulu asende Ba Bwezani muchibote chakwe” , I dont even think ewatupele in the first place.
We can make Zambia our Christian nation a better place through strategic prayers.

Great advice from someone who clearly care about mother Zambia, just as most
of us do.
Let us make sure that OUR President receives this message, shall.
I would like every reader of Lusaka Times to forward Charles’/Elihu
to every body you know-Kindda like “pass it on”.
Use Facebook, Twitter, Hi5, My Space, etc.
Politicians need to KNOW or be REMINDED that it is the Zambian people’s
Taxes that pay for their wages and all the perks that come with those jobs.
If Zambia is TRANSPARENT investment will follow…
AN interesting read. I dont know the authors motive and whether it is tongue in cheek so i will give him the benefit of the doubt. Whether RB reads it (highly improbable) or not, at least his intelligence netwrok will have an idea what people are thinking. Who knows, it may end up with an advisor. On the issue of Privatisation ans LuSe, for me the reason for calling for shares to be sold through LuSe has nothing to do with empowerment, and everything to do with ensuring that comapnies are sold for the market price and that no shady deals are done under the table. If Zambians want empowerment, they are free to go to Luse today and buy shares which are already quoted.
Ba #10, #33, #42, Madame Lara, welcome to the blog. Good to see more level headed Ladies on the blog. Nice Pic too. Makes me feel like up loading mine in ‘the near future’ with permission of course.
On the topic:
Imwe A Chalesi Ngoma, RB is aware about all that you have mentioned, but his bootlickers and advisers have their own agendas on all the issues mentioned.
Bottom line is, RB doesn’t make decisions on his own…
Great advice from someone who clearly cares about mother Zambia, just as most
of us do.
Let us make sure that OUR President receives this message, shall we.

Very timely and well thought out advice indeed. Any wise leader would do him/herself and the nation a favour to listen to such unvanished advice Mr. Ngoma, but I doubt it is in RB’s DNA to think outside the box.
Please follow the advice other wise azaku tundila futi ka.
Can we start a movement called “RB” must go? Is anyone on here for the idea….I am no longer proud to be a Zambian because we have the dumbest president in the world…
Very simple and impressive advice Mr Ngoma. You wrote with authority and clarity – we need more people like you. Keep it up, don’t let the negative comments stop you. Sooner or later your advice might fall on fertile ground.
# 66 I will join the cause if you mention where he should go, There only two alternatives Heaven or Hell, so when you say ‘RB must go” it is kind of incomplete. You might meet him again somewhere. You know what cam happen if you meet in Hell. The Holy Bible says there will be wailing and gashing of Teeth. No one would want RB doing that, because it will be a very scarely sight.
I would like to take issue of an MMD woman who feted RB pornography style in Mansa. That was an abhorrent act. We are in the 21st Century for goddamn sake. The MMD leadership must condemn in strongest terms such hero-worshiping of a human being. Even God, The Omnipotent, The All Powerful, did not command us to engage ourselves in demeaning acts in order to win his favours.
Ala nalema newo na nkani za LB
# 68 Nkani yamu Kachasu; Wansekesha sana, you are crazy!! hahahaha!! atio the sight yakwa RB! hahahaha
# 62 A big thank you ba Mrs Stevens, yes this is my real photo,?I admire your views too & you are a serious minded woman. No need to rush, the next elections are just around the corner & we will have new leader, because ba RB will not be re-elected.The MMD is a strong party & has a big following, surely there will be someone to replace ba RB.Zambia needs a new leader who’s young.
#21, senior citizen, you are such an ignorant homo sapien that you cannot even understand what you write. Did you ever go to School? I doubt it because all your postings on any subject don’t make sense. What kind of mind do you have? Have you ever asked yourself before posting anything? What do you expect the author of this article to get from your message. All other contributions make some sense of some kind but yours as usual is devoid of any logic. Did you go to Mulongoti School of Lies or Tetamashimba’s School of Bootlicking? What a waste of breathing air on earth!!
Its sad that ZP can allow MMD thugs to beat up reporters who are potraying the truth. Is what that MATERO woman did in Mansa normal for a normal person? I hear there is a lot of fornication at MMD seminars and conventions. So to them its normal.
Thumbs up to Ngoma. We need such leaders who can stick out their necks for the sake of mother Zambia. Thumbs up to you and God bless you, God bless the President, God bless Zambia.
The problem we have in our country is that if one is told the truth he or she will angry. We like the ” you think you can tell me what to do” ” I know what I am doing”. That is why things are the way they are. Telling liars has also become part of the Zambian culture we have that altitude of ” mwana mpela inkongole shandi” ” Mukabwele mailo pa 15:00 hours” know well the dude will not have money and won’t even be home. Ifyo twaba. Is everything OK ” YES BWANA” yamu yayayayayaya……………………………..until yesu aka bwele
correction “he or she will become angry”
# 6. Fresh Politics > Yes I strongly agree with you. A day hadly passed without hearing people talking about the president. I also agree on the writter’s last sentence. The republican president MUST be a presindent of the country and avoid associating himself from party activities as the is not having one party. All must regard him as their president who does not support any political party while in power. Vice president can be a member of any political party and get involved in trading insults with other party leaders. NOT the republican president as doing so lows his moral.
#73. Sata. Senior Citizen is no different from the MMD woman cadre in Mansa who was grovelling for Banda.
#78 Kajimano. RB was not prepared for the PRESIDENCY
Mr. Ngoma, timely advice one might say, but I hope you are aware that The Party comes first. For RB to contest the Republican Presidency, he had be to adopted as a Party President. So once elected into State House, the priorities will certainly be to appease all the NEC members and cadres , before he gets to the ordinary citizen who voted for him. We are a the least on his list! He will think about us in 2011. So the onus is on you and me to register and vote wisely, assuming there’s no interference .
Ba Madame Lara #72, , thanx for your comments, but… I will be very honest in here.( who do you think can take on Zambia in the next elections??(answeringbyour #33 , #72, posting in here).. please spare me the names Sata and HH, They are both, born natural loosers and one of them was born a natural comedian. If one or both of them are your choices, forgive me in advance.. they both will never rule Zambia.. mark my words and cut one of my fingers…..Zambia is for morally peaceful citizens and not for jokers or chancers..Though RB is ONE BIG JOKE INDEED!!!!!!!
happy blogging and wish to converse with you more…
MMD carders this morning beat up a Post news reporter Chibaula Silwamba and harassed photographer Collins Phiri at Lusaka International Airport who went to cover President Bandaās return from Kampala, Uganda. Narrating his ordeal, Chibaula explained that the cadres who were already at the airport at around 09:00 hours approached him and ordered him to leave the airport before they suddenly attacked him.
āI asked why they wanted me to leave but they just said because I was a Post reporter and others said it was because of the MMD woman whose pictures of praise for President Banda at Mansa Airport recently have been published in The Post,ā he narrated.
āOne of them grabbed me by the shoulder and started pushing me, before I even started walking, another one slapped me heavily…
on my left cheek. Then almost immediately, another one slapped me on the right cheek and they lifted me in the air in full view of the Lusaka Division Police commanding officer, Greenwell Ngāuni and other senior police officers. When I saw the commanding officer [Ngāuni], I called his name and asked for help, but he looked away. I called him loudly again and he just looked away even when he was just nearby.ā
He said as the cadres continued harassing him, some police officers started pleading with the carders to leave him but they continued to manhandle him until they forcibly removed him from the airport premises.
āEven as I went outside near the car park they still came and started charging at me but then I jumped in the car and we quickly drove away,ā he narrated…
Ba Madame Lara, sorry for the typographic error in one of the sentences in posting #82…
Chibaula says he has sustained a serious headache but had not yet reported the matter to police.
āI feel my head is burning but I am yet to go to the hospital and I havenāt reported the matter to police since the commanding officer was there when I was being beaten,ā he added.
Eeeish! ….Commanding Officer Nguni remember that days are numbered.
Where is the copy and paste mod? For a change we have not seen “on your something copy and paste” and then a random bible verse at the end. Nothing personal but #6 Fresh Polictics you are dim! If all is well with me then everything is fine in Zambia!
Or is it letter to a door “ichibi”
Post reporter bamumenya pa airport really Zambia is not safe am afraid to go home now what these carders upto???????????? why why why
I have observed that LT only has stories pro RB, negative issues are sidelined, so nifunsako is LT owned by GRZ?
Hello Bloggers and well done Charles Ngoma, my namesake.
We need more of these open letters to the president, belive it or not, he surely has TIME to read them. Whether or not he does read them is a different issue.
#80. Deja Vu >> Funny!!! why voting for someone who was not prepared for the presidency and blame him for poor performance thereafter?????
#9 Kwena you are very funny, but another state funeral will be costly
This is an interesting piece of writing, it would be nice for our president to read such necessary points raised by the gentleman. The problem with our leader is that he does not take advice, pleanty has already been offered to him but he chooses to remain ignorant. So, it was just a waste, unfortunately. However, a lesson can be learnt, by any zambian leader who reads this, by anyone interested in politics and the well being of Zambia. These are a few fundamental guidelines that can make a whole difference, we need to implement such practices if we have to elevate our economy. Zambian citizens need to be empowered. Those that can afford must have a right to buy government owened companies when they are up for sale(privatisation) …..after all is said……Thanks Charles !

GOVERNMENT has dispatched a six-man delegation to deliver a pregnant Friesian cow to Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete. And sources have revealed that the government has spent over K68 million in per diem for 10 days on the six officers that have been sent to deliver the cow to President Kikwete in Tanzania.
The black and white cow which was given to President Kikwete by President
Rupiah Banda at the Ndola International Trade Fair early this month was transported to Tanzania by road last Saturday.
According to government sources, each of the six officers led by Copperbelt Provincial veterinary officer Dr Alishenke Mutemwa was given US $220 per night equivalent to K1,148,400 [at K5,220 per US $] as out-of-pocket allowance for 10 days.
92 Nine Chale greetings and thanks.
On a different note, yesterday afternoon I went to te Carl Zeiss Planetarium in the Schloss garten and t was great. Have been in there to see the simulated Stuttgart night sky? If you haven’t mke a date and you won’t be disappointed.
I also had some nice time at the Bier garten with with British friend. The half-chicken meal was great. Hey, keep well and later.
Be blest all.

Psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Hey Maestro, greetings to you too.
Nice to hear about the fancy way you spent your “Freizeit” yesterday. I envy you brother, because I was busy cleaning up my cellar despite the lovely biergarten weather!
Of course I know the Planetarium but only from outside. I never thought it would interest me but now that you recommend it, I will definately find time. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Stuttgart a.k.a Benztown, it’s really a wonderful city.
98 Nine Chale great stuff and thanks.
Please, make sure you don’t miss this summer sessions at the planetarium. It was nice to see a simulated Florida, USA, night sky of 1969 at Cape Carnaval? — the launch site of a Appollo moon mission as well as a southern hemisphere Moon night sky. I am sure you will enjoy yourself too when you will get there.
As for the Letter to Mr President, it really has nice stuff and I hope Mr President will consider the things written there in.
Be blest all.

Psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Good message. And it doesnt necessary mean that such messages should be sent directly to his office.
By sharing such concerns with the public we tend to appreciate other people’s concern and form some sort of consesus and eventually a common public opinion.
Mrs Stevens, thanks very much & well forgiven, sincerely i would not opt for HH nor Sata,i would prefer someone new on the political scene but from MMD as other parties are just follow ups or branches of the MMD. We really need someone who has a vision for the future of the Zambian people, not all these old stalwats who are only interested more in enriching themselves & their families,Sata was formally in the MMD,so he will surely apply the same policies that we are witnessing & experiencing now, probably worse!
Cheers & hoping on conversing with you more…..
Good advice from ngoma. RB is a reincanation of cabbage. If only he realised that he a republican president first and then MMD President, t we might see some change. God save us ! A Six MAN DElIGATION deliverIing a cow . What a joke of a president
#21 Mr Senior Citizen and #16 Fresh Politics your understanding of an open letter is very reptilian and provincial. Just that you know, Zambia is so bureaucratic that it would actually be easier to reach the president through an open letter than an other means, more especially if you are not a well known cadre and you are abroad since most of these institutions (your channels) are not online, even. The problem with you Zambians is that with your dinousaurusish brains, in your debates, you concentrate on non issues like the kind of Shoes RB is in, how smart he looks, what University Papers he has. What does all that vanity matter in the lives of the Zambian populations, your children, and your children children, who ‘ve lost all hope because of corruption and lies, by this MMD GRZ.
People never appreciated LPM until he died. You know why? Because he fraudulently came into power and then started claiming that he himself was fighting corruption. Who was he fooling? He was in it up to the neck himself. Appreciating him now is just sympath because he’s dead, which is common in African Society. So don’t think we really appreciate him, take it we are sorry that he had to die, thats all. But obvious as compaired to this think-head we have now, he was better.
The letter contains substance. Its up to RB to take it or leave .I still have reservations to criticise RB outrightly for he still has three more years to go.I will judge the man after he finishes LPM’s term of office.those calling for RB to deliver in a shoet period of time are addicted to populism propaganda and they should take a leaf from what is happening in South Africa.Zuma compaigned on a populist premise but after assuming office, reality hit him hard and what is happening in SA is there for everyone to see.A warning to those who SHOUT Pabwato, its not attainable in 90 days.you could be as well be on the streets demonstrating against the Cobra. With the cobra you will be slaughtered in broad daylight, check his CV.Prof Chirwa, come and save us.
banda will be a lame duck soon the president is magande
Advice is only good if the person it is directed at actually takes it. Otherwise, you mnight as well be whistling past the graveyard.
Nice and interesting letter. Can somebody help me substanciete whether the advice given is not simply some leadership code a president ought to be aware of. I wonder if it is politically viable for RB. Theory at times fails to complement whats practical. Experience is said to be the best teacher. MMD is failing because of lack of experienced politicians with honour and love for the Nation but THUGS.
Even if God says he will eradicate all evil on earth, there will always be some pipo compalinin.
So, no matter what RnB does, there will always be some of you not happy. As if RnB created the credit global crunch, as if the rot in Zamtel started under his watch, as if poverty in zambia started under his watch. RnB just ingore these wingers. As the indian man says ”chalo cha kawena, mali ya ka mina”. Keep blabbing away while others are busy making $$$$ in your country
Still waiting for copy and paste. Atleast we have had the privilege of seeing a random verse from the bible.
#109 you are right poverty, Zamtel problems, etc did not begin with RB. But he has an opportunity now to invest in education, manufacturing, agriculture, etc. What does he choose a huge cabinet with sky rocketing costs of runing GRZ, and recycled corrupt ministers. You ‘ve to understand that RB is on a job and we his employers ‘ve to evaluate his performance. If he was messing up his farm in, heaven knows where, I would not complain. Most of us are not citizen of any other country on earth but Z therefore, we care.
#68 nkani yamu kachasu…. I really don’t care where he goes, as long as it will be across some borders, preferably kwao ku Zimbabwe.
Thought RB was Zambian? We are quick to accuse whites of racism and all.
Zambia has turned ” if you come from poor family you will die poor and if you come from MMD thieves’ family you ever be rich”. This is what well meaning Zambians should work against. The national cake must be shared equally regardless of where somebody comes from. Young Zambians let us rise and fight for our country. Let us match with solidarity as we face these ruthless MMD thieves whose aim is desroying our great Nation Zambia. Let us all look forward to REOLUTION 2011.
Well its about time some one had the guts to right to plot one. Whose next?
The punk won’t bother to read this let alone change his disgusting leadership style
“Do not surround yourself with so many āonion skinsā so that by the time people get to you they have tears in their eyes!” That is my favorite. Whenever a leader becomes insular that is the beginning of the end. RB once said that he was ‘the most lied to person in Zambia.’ The one way he can get to the truth is to listen even to his enemies, real or perceived. ‘The Troubles’ ended in Ireland because enemies sat down to talk. Obama went to the top because he was not afraid to dialogue even with die hard racists. His Excellency may gain much from giving a one to one interview with Amos.
WHILE THIS TRUE. I H OPE HE IS GOING TO READ THIS.AND STOP MOVING AROUND ALL OVER AFRICA. PEOPLE OF THE NATION IF THIS PERSON CONTINUES TO MOVE LIKE A BULL KASTRATE HIM SO THAT HE CAME BECAME MUSUNE. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY HE BECAME A PRESIDENT? HE IS USELESS THAN A KAPONYA IN LSK.
MISTAKE ARE SIGN’S OF ANGER PLEASE 4GIVE. AM SO MAD ABOUT THIS PERSON HE LIKES TOWING TO MUCH. MRS BANDA TAKE A VERY GOOD LOOK AT YOUR HUSBAND.HE IS LOOKING FOR A SECOND WIFE ALL OVER AFRICA WHILE IN POWER.
#96 Woman of Substance, I read that story from Post and it got me thinking, what is wrong with our leaders? I remember when Obama met Queen Elizabeth II , he gave her an iPod for a gift. Now there’s nothing wrong with gifts but at least be reasonable. Pa Zed kulibonesha yalichilamo! RB is old and senile thats all I can say.
Tukalanda tukalema things will always be like this in Zambia as long as brains like yours keep on being enslaved by your host countries to sustain their powerful economies. my dears Diasporadias lets begin giving back to our dearest country by going home & becoming Investors, economists and politicians twachula pafula. It will only take a few of the hundreds of zambian intellectuals scattered abroad mouthing abt things their will never have contrl of FOR Daderheads like Mulongoti & Teta to continously slander & exploit our beautiful country LETS GO & KICK THESE MAGGOTS OUT
#121 UMWESO NIFWA
What you say is perfectly correct, but the political landscape needs to be conducive to investments. The situation in the country is so politically unstable that you never know whether your investments will go up in flames. The PF/UPND pact is already threatening to renationalise ZAMTEL when they get beck in power. How unpatriotic is that? In the UK or USA there is no member of the opposition who goes around discouraging foreign investment because they do not like the leader, but that is the situation in Zambia. I think, Mr Ngoma may be trying to bring sanity to Zambian politics by addressing the man who wields power. It is the mighty who condenscend to the weak.
