Collins Mbulo Dies

Former Zambia and Mufulira Wanderers goalkeeper Collins Mbulo has passed away.

Mbulo died in Lusaka today after a long illness at his home in Chawama.

He was until his death coach at lower division club Young Buffaloes whom he joined after serving at assistant coach at Green Buffaloes for the last two years.

Mbulo, also played for the national team from 1995 to 2002 and went to feature four Africa Cup finals with Zambia from 1996 to 2002.

He joined Buffaloes in 2000 after over a decade at Wanderers where he was part of the last great Wanderers team that won back-to-back league crowns under the late Ashios Melu and his then assistant George Lwandamina in 1995 and 1996 including triumphs in the 1994 BP Top 8 Cup and 1995 Mosi Cup.
