Bailiffs seize property from Nursing School over NAPSA contributions

The office of bailiffs under the sheriffs in Mongu swung into action on Monday and seized property worth millions of kwacha from Western School of Nursing and Midwifery for non payment of National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) contributions accumulating to K9, 555, 445 million.

Western School of Nursing and Midwifery failed to adhere to a contract they entered with NAPSA in November last year on contributions. NAPSA sued and the school was convicted upon admission of the offence on August 29 last year but only paid K1million of the said amount.

Some of the property seized at the school includes two photocopying machines, two 21
inch TV sets, two Computers, two small deep freezers, two one plate
cookers, student tables, chairs and mattresses.

If the institution fails to pay the owed money within five days, the property
will be auctioned.

  1. Sad. ..,.. Bailiffs should not be part of our culture . It is not us.
This is a privately owned institution i take it .

  2. The Contribution are very high but what is paid as retirement is too small. Are the contributiion there to support NAPSA employees and director salaries

  3. This is very personnal NAPSA is owed a lot of money by many clients but they have not gone that far.The amount of money been owed is little. NAPSA has it`s short commings when it comes to claim money which is due. After all that is the workers contributions now what do you think of the workers and the plight of the students.NAPSA is indirect placing this school under liquidation. Mind you what you do to others it shall be done onto you.

  4. Shame on NAPSA. Western provice needs the school and you’re putting it ou of business. NAPSA owes me money & yet I’ve not sued you.

  5. I do not understand this. Technically NAPSA are not owed any money. It is the workers at this institution who are owed contributions into their pension accounts by the said institution. This is workers’ pension or retirement benefits and not NAPSA money. Zambia forever a nation of i..d..i..o..ts!
Lets this institution is closed does NAPSA understand that they will have to pay the

  6. What benefita are there to see from NAPSA and what value has it added to the Zambian pensioners. Napsa shuld be closed as it is not worthwile and a more dynamic retirement account should be established such as 401K which the USA has.

  7. probably someone big has scores to settle with the owner of that school. sad development, shame on NAPSA.

  8. Bailiff, this is the wrong way of going about things. Seizing property from this school is not in anyone’s best interest.

Work out a payment plan and let the school continue running.

  9. 8-x8-x8->NAPSA you are being air to The workers are suffering, their families too.Pleas to settle thiways barthes matter.

  10. Pretty component of content. I simply stumbled upon your blog and in accession capital to assert that I get actually loved account your weblog posts. Any way I will be subscribing for your augment and even I success you get admission to constantly quickly.
