A Zambian Comedian, Chomba Kalunga popularly known as Dr Jose will next month release a movie on the Zambian Market.
Mr. Kalunga said the movie tiled “At Least A Smile”, is a story of a woman who gets married to a foreigner she knows little about.
Mr. Kalunga told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today that the movie which gobbled K55 million to produce, is a comedy drama and will be premiered on the 22nd of May at the Alliance Francaise.
He explained that it was encouraged to produce the movie because he is saddened with the influx of foreign movies on the Zambian Market.
Mr. Kalunga urged Zambian actors and actresses to become more innovative and produces Zambian movies which will be able to compete on the international market.
He said the Zambian public should also develop a habit of buying local products to enhance and support the local industries growth.
Mr. Kalunga called upon broadcasting houses to buy the rights to broadcast the movie on their channels adding that the movie will also be available in DVDs to the members of the public.
