Kitwe United Appoint Mujembe as Coach

Kitwe United have appointed Lewingtone Mujembe as new head coach.

The club says Mujembe has been handed a performance based contract.

Chingalika have not specified the contract duration.

He replaces Albert Mphande, who ditched Kitwe to join City of Lusaka some weeks ago.

“Yes Mujembe has arrived at the club. As usual we have given him a performance based contract,” the club executive announced on Monday evening.

Mujembe is a former Konkola Blades coach and defender.

He led Konkola to FAZ Super Division promotion last season.

Mujembe has joined a Kitwe side that has struggled with form in recent weeks.

The Buchi Boys are eighth in Division One with 30 points in 20 matches.

Kitwe are winless in their last four matches in which they have recorded three defeats and a draw.
