Zesco Escape In Maputo To Advance

Zesco United today survived in Maputo to advance to the first round of this year’s Orange Caf Champions League.

Zesco lost 2-1 in their first competitive match away in Mozambique to host Caf club competition debutants Liga Muculmana in their preliminary round, return leg clash.

Fighton Simukonda’s side advanced to the first round 4-2 on aggregate.

Zesco await the winner between Young Buffaloes of Swaziland or Seychelles team Saint Michel who play their second leg game tomorrow whom they will host next month on March 19.

Young Buffaloes lead Saint Michel 3-0 from the first leg played in Manzini a fortnight ago.
