The Patriotic Front (PF) has announced the expulsion the 16 rebel members of parliament from the party.
The expulsion of the rebel MPs follows the High court’s decision to dismiss with costs the consolidated action against the PF.
PF secretary general Wynter Kabimba announced the expulsion of the rebel MPs in Lusaka today during a media briefing.
Mr. Kabimba named those expelled as Matero member of parliament Faustina Sinyangwe , Celestino Chibamba of Shiwan’gandu Constituency and Kawambwa’s Elizabeth Mulobeka Chitika.
Other are Besa Chimbaka of Bahati constituency, Ernest Mwansa of Chifunabuli , Joseph Kasongo Bangweulu, and Dr. Peter Cachungwa of Luapula constituency.
Percy Chanda of Kankoyo Constituency, Bernabas Chela Wusakile constituency Michael Nyirenda of Kafinsa constituency,Lombani Mschili Kabushi constituency, Joseph Zulu of Bwana mkubwa have also been expelled .
The party has also expelled the Benson Bwalya of Chifubu constituency posthumously, Anson Simama and Violet Sampa Bredt of Kalulushi and Chawama constituencies respectively.
And Mr. Kambimba has said the PF has launched a system of registration for its members and supporters.
Mr. Kabimba says the registration system will be done via mobile phones of Airtel subscribers adding that subscribers to this facility will be kept updated on the operation of the party ahead of this year’s elections.
QFM
Mr Sata is dillusional Why doesnt HH lead the pact
No presidential candidate has the pedigree and integrity of HH
He is the future
and people say there is democracy in pf??????? i wonder. and now this boy michael SATAn has caused 16 by elections and i bet he’l lose 2/3 of those.
Too many problems in PF, let HH lead the country….
They will appeal to supreme court of which their case wont be decided until the next tripartite elections sometime this year. Mpompo is also hanging to MMD through this legal procedure. Therefore no need to celebrate. Hold on to your celebrations.
Serves them right. They are MMD yet they wanted to stick to their parliamentaru seats using the PF
Babacenjesha ba mambala!
Nangu ni bu savage, expelling a even a dead MP sure!!!. Ba PF, no wonder people call you thugs. You could have just said we have expelled 15 Mps. I hear they even went to the trouble of writing a letter od expulsion to a dead MP.
So 15 By-elections? This will be the true litmus test for how strong the PF is because these MPs are well spread across PF strongholds, Lusaka, CB and Luapula. I hope sober minds prevail ..no need for By Elections really. Elections are in 5 months time.
Waste of time!!!
Just get aggressively on the campaign trail for the tripartite elections considering that any time from now H.E President RB commander in Chief of the Zambian Armed Forces will be striking his pen with executive powers for Decision 2011. Alternative file another injunction in the court of law while on the ground campaigning for the tripartite.
PF is a party with alot of confusion! The party is going nowhere!
how do expect our beloved micheal to kip them in pf wen they were eating with rupaih from the same table? nangu ni democracy!!!! who would tolearte that sure?now lets see how popular they are in their constituencies!!m******mwe ba mmd
PF = Pa Fwaka. Now its going to be snake in the monkeys shadow …Mushota did your brothers go see this movie?
yabaa mama sinyangwe how is she going to maintain her white wig
And the circus continuez.
Guys, parliamentary seats up for grabs in the next general elections. What this means is that they have been expelled and are no longer members of the patrotic front either by hook or crook. It’s now up to you fellow bloggers who want to be in parliament after the general elections to start positioning yourselves for adoption in this seats. I will go for Luapula constituency and mean MaOrange there.
God forgive them for they are dull.
God forgive the PF for they are dull.
This is stale news.
The MMD via a special State house monitored task force has spent K25 billion since beginning of the year on activities to disrupt cohesion in the Pact. The scheme seems to be yielding dividends going by the latest events in the Pact that is on the verge of collapse.
This special task force is headed by the party’s chief whip Vernon Mwanga and assisted by state house presidential aid Austin Sichinga.
The money has been used to pay chiefs in Southern province to threaten to disown HH if he remains in the Pact. The chief led by Mwanachingwala and Mukuni have netted about K500m each plus a car of their choice. Chief Mukuni is since ever in Lusaka driving past Arcades and Manda hill malls in his latest BMW 7 series.
The next target lines has been some UPND and PF members of parliament (MPs)…
Imwe sure and a few days ago PF leadership were denouncing the sacking of Mulongoti. Sata really thinks Zambians have small brains or suffer from serious amnesia, anyway, his supporters are all very dull people who don’t understand issues.
#18 Knight
You must be watching alot of conspiracy movies.Chief Mukuni is the richest chief in zambia.Whats a 7 series bmw to him?Have ever been to his palace?
YES, THE CLEAN UP OPERATION IS IN MOTION………..FAKE PARTNER UPND GONE, NOW IT’S THE REBELS…….WASHALA WASHALA……WAYA WAYA……….NO TIME WASTERS ANY MORE..
continued:The next target lines has been some UPND and PF members of parliament (MPs) who have been instructed to create confusion and counter progressive statements to ensure the Pact does not succeed. The MPs that were paid K250M each mid February are Peter Machungwa (PF), Elizabeth Chitika (PF), Faustina Siyangwe (PF), Besa Chimbaka (PF),Anson Sinama (PF), Douglous Siakalima (UPND), Garry Nkombo (UPND) and Highvie Hamududu (UPND).
The UPND troika have been promised another K2 Billion each if they can deliver UPND to partner with MMD. The exchange of cash usually happens at Arcades car park between 8 and 10 pm when Pajeros and Landcruisers park side by side.
Selected pastors like BIGOCA’s Ndlovu and NGO presidents like Edwin Lifwekelo are on K50M to issue anti Pact statements.
THAT IS PF FOR YOU
Change is coming whether you like it or not
Sata wanted to teach his rebel MP’s that he can still get into power by using HH. The game has now changed and is attempting to go back to the drawing board. This is not a Catch 22 situation for Sata but rather Catch 66, which is very deadly.
PF This sounds like Gold Rush or January Sale.
PF has lost support in Luapula Province. Its time for MMD & UPND to go and grab these lost in action rebel MP’s and teach SATA a lesson.
They are no longer needed even by MMD and could not be support with their court case.
cont .. from 25
Then a gain the young-gun HH has shown some lapses of recent. He seems to be reducing himself quarrelling to Kabimba’s low-level thinking. Best to keep quiet or just keep shooting on Sata.
There goes the man of action!!!! Sack the useles i.d.i.o.ts.
Party registration for subscribers of Airtel. Mmmmmmm ….. (1) What about subscribers of other networks? (2) and those not on any network become ineligible? How about membership cards? PF nomba cimo na gaddafi mweeee!
Will Kunda embrace these expelled MPs as a matter of “desperation” ?
cont… from 26
Sata has no chance. These guys will prolong the case just to frustrate him while MMD makes in-roads campaigning until the election day. As matter of fact, now that Sata wants them expelled, they will univocally keep jabbing and tearing him down.
the culture of expelling people with different views within the political parties should stop. its just not health for the countries politics. it breeds booklickers and corrupt chaps and dwarfs the politicians’ intellects
#18 (Knight) Your analysis seems to border on self-denial. Sata-Kabimba and HH-Kakoma are the ones on each other’s throats. Unless you say they’re the ones corrupted by MMD. Leave chiefs alone!
the culture of expelling people with different views within the political parties should stop. its just not health for the countries politics. it breeds bootlickers and corrupt chaps and dwarfs the politicians’ intellects
Is’nt this the same Sata who the other day was ranting about how accomodating he is to divergent views?
I am of the impression that MPs are lawmakers and also representatives of the people that voted for them. If that is the case, one would think the first thing MPs would do is pass laws that would protect them from such unceremonious expulsions.
As it currently stands with such expulsions, MPs cannot look out for their people. Some Laws need to change so these MPs can be effective and truly represent their people.
# 2 one Zambia tow nations:
You are indeed a legend of your mind, if you don’t have a point, don’t finish the and ink writing pads for nothing. you seem to poses the anxiety of responding to articles anyhow. No matter how much you loathe Mr. Sata you should criticize where it’s due and like wise give credit where it’s due. Those were rebel MPs what would you expect him to do in these circumstances ? Zambia is a country in labor this year and like all awaiting parents, all Political parties have to prepare amicably, and Mr. Sata is non exception.
These rebels were used by MMD to gain campain mileage now are damped like dead wood.Thats a lesson for UPND chizyuka too and many others who feel are popular…these rebel MP’s wanted positions in Government but how will they campain without being adopted in MMD?Those who say in glass house shouldnt thro stones. Now HH,what did your MP’s who sat at NCC give to the zambian pipo together with MMD?useless constitution ever ba learned guys, shame on you.weather PF/UPND or MMD wins,i dont care,my GOD SUPPLIES ALL MY NEEDS not POLITICIANS
This is what they deserve, politics is all about rules, if someone does not follow the rules of the game is shown a yellow card as a caution if he continues RED CARD. so let them go and contest on MOVEMENT for MULTITUDE DOGS (MMD) ticket to test their popularity. Don’t blaime SATA for this, the man is innocent after all they claim to be giants in politics so bama mbala tukabamona, mw anyalelo bane zwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
#18 knight, you really have a fertile mind. Have you been watching the old James Bond spy movies lately?
Listen young man don’t waste your youth, Pact/PF are their own enemies. Sata is always decampaigning himself every time he opens his mouth. One would have to have more money than brains to spend such a frotune on decampaigning Sata when he can do it for you free of charge.
During the recent MMD card renewal at Mulungushi,Luapula MMD officials objected the move to adopt rebels in MMD saying many havent delivered in their areas. These PF rebels were used by MMD then damped, will to regret the rest of there lives.Ask Nawakwi,Sakwiba,Siulapwa,Tilyenji who carried RB’s water during campains?dead end.UPND also will safer masive resignations as many MP’s are already MMD carders waiting to move.HH dont even think joining hands with MMD,you will be put pa GATE D or BACK BENCHER MUDALA
A NORMAL PERSON CAN NOT CONDEMN THIS MOVE. THESE I.D.I.O.T.S HAVE CAUSED PAIN IN PF. IF THEY AR POPULAR LET THEM RECONTEST. DULL BLOGGERS DNT COMPARE THE CASE OF MULONGOTI TO THIS. MULONGOTI WAS NOT A REBEL, HE JUST CHALLENGED GK. PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF…..MMD MWANYA THIS YR…CHILUBA HERE WE COME…DONCHI KUBEBA
It is indeed a pity that some people still have much faith in Mr Sata. We could as well one day have a Libya situation if allowed to get into State house. Send the man as a Diplomat in Amsterdam then i guess everything will be cool.
Good riddance…I saw it coming. These s.tup.d mps thought they were untouchable now they are gone.No more white wigs,no more Pajeros, no more gratuity, no more inama nenkoko pa table ba mambala imwe..who do you think you are..this marks the end of you just like what happened to FDD use..less politicians hasta la victoria…hasta la muerte estare con el Pacto.
Again fellow bloggers take note of the picture, I will tell you more at an appropriate time. Pay particular attention to the individual characters.
These guys are supposed to go, its long overdue. Let them contest as independent MPs like Milupi and test their popularity. You cannot have your head in one party and your bums in another. And LT from now onwards dont refer to them as ‘PF rebel MPs,’ find another term.
MOVEMENT FOR MAD DOGS MMD…..SATA CAN NEVER DIMINISH IN POPULARITY. ANNOUNCE THE CAMAIGN PERIOD WE SET THE BALL ROLLING AND U WILL SEE IF RB WILL HAVE IT EASY….UKO TULEISA DONCHI KUBEBA………PABWATOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
# 7,# 9 Mushota.

# 46: If it´s like that…..it was the right way forward. No more political prostitutes.
HH shouldnt forget that RB said(HH is a dogs son becoz was fond of insulting elders during the Mufumbwe by-elections) let me ask UPND supporters, who is better to work with, the one who says you are under5 or the one who calls u DOGS SON?HH has also called RB/MMD many names,i wonder how they will harmons there parties also..KAYA MWANDI
#45 IWE IF YOU DNT HAVE ANTHING TO SAY ZIP YOUR MOUTH THAN BEHAVING LIKE CHANDA CHIMBA. I GUESS U ARE…..MULENYA THIS YR BA SHEEEEEEEEETY
MMD ploy at work…Judiciary told to throw case out with costs!! could not have been so well timed:o:o:o:
If they are talking to your enemies and pretend to you that they true servants of your party and the nation, and yet they are not. Then expel them and lets see if they will bounce back on their constituency tickets either independent or on MMD ticket. These are the pipo who have never done anything in their respective contituences.
Most of guys here, make comments out out of emotions. but u by pass anything that is important to reflect on.Let us not condemn anyhow. No amount of time can pronouce any wrongdoer free. in the first place, each party has its own mandates and beliefs that it follows.if as the party they agree on something it has to be a collective responsibilty to obey that, but if others chooses to go their way,it is up to them. Wat happened to those rebel MPs is that they went contrally to the recommendation of the Party about the NCC.They choose to go and attend that without even consulting their followers it was all out of selfish motive. Now see what has come out of that NCC.We are still crying about the better constution but it is all bcoz of such that went there to enrich themselves.
PF umfweni, ekupwa ukukwine, tafichilapa. Namupwa ba PF. Let me tell SATA’s latest STRATEGY: he knows that there is no chance for him in 2011 and that is basically the end for him politically. So what he is doing is finishing PF so that there will be no party left after 2011 and then he will anounce retirement from politics. This is how selfish Sata can be. If you can’t read his strategy, you are daft – just wait for 2012, you will remember my words.
This firing of 16 MPs is a death knell for PF. No party with intelligent leadership can fire 16 MPs all at once, that is your end. Do you honestly think you will win those seats back? You have won only ONE parliamentary by-election since after the 2008 presidential by-elections. Atleast UPND has tried a little bit. Bye Bye PF.
Move in the right direction.Let the MPs contest on the MMD ticket come 2011.
we will see if they will not be following MMD rules
good ridance, we are tired of these rebel MPs since thay are MMD let them stay with MMD
Remember, every person has a following. Even the rebels have supporters….and they will go with them. What remains is fewer numbers than before. Thank you, PF you are out of contention. We now put our cards on HH. By the way, even before this our choice has been HH. I have sat with some PF MPs those close to ba mdala Sata, they want a young person to lead PF and then Zambia.
BETWEEN SATA AND RB, I WOULD VOTE FOR RB……YOU KNOW THE REASON
and they thot they were untouchable, not in PF selfish granny(Sinyangwe).
Oh my God! Does this mean 16 by-elections? Let’s hope they’ll appeal to Supreme court just to delay the process; until the elections later this yr. There’s no way, the tax payer is going to foot the bill for 16 useless by-elections!!!!!
#59,those minions have got no followers apart from their house holds.HH for president?keep musturbating about it.
54# Smart Observer
Sorry – these so called rebel MP’s had a duty on behalf of the people that elected them to participate in the drafting of the constitution and not Sata and someone else’s wish.
Sata was stopping them for political reasons and had no good reason to do so. Cobra just wanted to find a way of using NCC to gain popularity. Any good thinking person can clearly see his motives. Let’s not cheat ourselves with silly comments

36..Mr. Capitalist – 3 E’s steering economic growth says
Tell that to MMD and RB…..they can pull it off since they are in the majority….
I BET THEY WILL
Good point though
36..Mr. Capitalist – 3 E’s steering economic growth says….
At least you are open minded at times..i thought you were an MMD SYCOPHANT but from your comments on 36, i am compelled to change my opinion on you…KEEP IT POSITIVE
This case will end up in the supreme court where it will be delayed until general elections. You cant have 16 bye-elections when general elections are around the corner.
#22, dont mislead pipo with baseless rumours.
the pf is a prty of lunatics…how the hell do you suspend all those MPs..whose money will they use ..we need our tax payers cash safe ..to hell with pf ..viva change..
@ Li-Xhan Mr. Capitalist has impressed me aswell over the last few days or so, his contributions no longer border on cadreism or insanity. He is sharing knowledge. Hello by the way.
@ Mr. Capitalist you know that only about 50 MP in Zambia even know what their job description really is; I am only being generous with that number for to-date I have not seen or read any new bill passed that will say limit the powers of the president or curb underage drinking. As of these expulsions, a by elections will happen even if it breaks the backs of our parents and relatives because democracy cannot be held back. Its up to the constituents themselves to push their leaders to have the courts hold out till the tri-partite
Continued: I will say this about these expulsions, firstly if these rebels were merely being disruptive they truly need this, but if they were fired for opposing opinions then that’s just foul on PF’s part. True democrats were are you, hold close the statutes of truth and justice, peace, law; but above all cling firmly to God.
MMD NIMBWA SANA ESPECIALLY RB
;et them go greedy people ala mwebantu you need to understandthat these mps were greedy they went to work on the so called constitution and what they do whilst there zero they just wanted the money now the money is no more no mps jobs let them go , greedy people they did not contribute anything nabaleya twabamwenamo kutubai!
Bloggers, these MPs were expelled a long time ago; at the time of LPM. What kept them ‘alive’ was the frivolous court injunction that was deliberately delayed until now. Infact, the correct heading for this article should be PF sacked MPs lose court battle.
These were expelled a long time ago for attending the constitution making process. Sata told all his MPs not to attend the constitution making process after realising that some of the submissions was that presidential candidates should have atleast something close to a degree because times have changed and many in zambia now are abit educated up to a diploma or first degree level.
When Sata realised that this article would be a danger to him, he ordered all his mps not to attend the NCC, the real undemocratic MC. When he becomes president maybe we will be banned from travelling outside the country, if you do it secretly you be faced with deportation papers. PF is Sata, all the policies and manifestos are in Sata’s head, hence he can make any orders as he pleases. Another Gadaffi in…
I think this court decision will trigger a call for a general election but knowing how poor Nyama soya is in making decisions, he will go ahead with bye elections.
No 36
Good sober thinking. Keep it up!
Common sense-these chaps were not PF but MMD thugs and informers riding on PF ticket. Batata ba Sata-well done, good riddance. This is the beggining of hard life for them. Very soon we shall see how they will be tossed aside by the crooked MMD.
I and my family support PF and upnd. Don’t kubeba… Viva pf. Upnd u lost it. Viva pf viva pf. Now that 80% of Zambian youths are unemployed they have become kaponyas and upnd claims the pf is for kapnonyas. That is a big insult to the masses in zed. Viva pf. Viva pf don’t tell them
# 76 degree clausevis still in effect. Let the mmd go ahead with the clause. Sata has a degree. We don’t care what sort he has but what I know is that this man is more popular than hh and even rb who are educated. Viva pf viva pf I love sata
1+1 is not always = to 2 teach your Children well. Go PF. A dead tree needs to be cut down before it drops. People who think big think beyond there nose.
#36 @Mr. Capitalist – 3 E’s steering economic growth says:
Your point is very good but the reality for this to happen will be farfetched. In Zambia to achieve this, the President has to assent it into Law. That would mean the President accepting to have diminished power. It could probably happen in the last term of office of a setting President, I very much doubt if it would happen in his/her first term.
Our parliamentary system is flawed, the President has to assent a bill to become Law. If it borders against him, he/she would probably not sign it.
EVEN THE DEAD CANNOT ESCAPE THE WRATH…JUST IN CASE THEY RESURRECT…
“The party has also expelled the Benson Bwalya of Chifubu constituency posthumously”
#83, know your constitution. The President does not have the final say. If he does not sign the bill in a stipulated number of days, it goes back to parliament. If parliament insists on it, president must sign of dissolve parliament. It happened when MPs wanted to increase theri perks two years ago I think.
Good riddance, let there be by-elections to see who is popular
Beyond 2011 there shall be people in authority governing Zambia.Best party will carry the day.It is up to visionary leaders in parties to share the vision of the next Zambia.Majority voters will win elections.
It is up to political parties to sale their manifestos. For the pact if there wont be any merger that will be victory for MMD which at the moment has fewer mebers but devides opposition votes.
The pact must sale HH as co leader because after Sata we need strong opposition in Zambia but opposition is not about change of Government but puting in place ideas which will change economy for better.Sat is getting old therefore we must plan ahead.MMD rejects the youth like Magande who was going to change Zambia much faster.
We also need new players like Bob Sichinga and others
The guys have already appealed, so lets not waste time on this matter. All of you who are against their academic expulsion should note the NCC to which they had subscribed to has failed to come with an acceptable draft contitution. All the same this is a dead issue!
MMD has used these foools and now they are stranded. You cannot trust MMD.
#73 shimule, all we hear from PF are insults, bemba insults. When are you going to tell us your party’s agenda, what you will do to improve the economy, provide more jobs, whether you intend to build more schools and health centres than MMD has done. Most important for the voters, tell us that the Sata of today is not the same as the one of yesterday, that he has changed his ways and therefore worth voting for. Surely a serious party cannot have as its policy just criticising everything that others are doing, in other words reacting to others’ agendas and lacing the reactions with bemba insults. Today’s voters are more mature than that and want to hear issues.
There is something wrong with expeling 16 MPs. The same will stand on MMD ticket and win. PF has lost credibility. There goes the PACT. On oneside Kabimba is fighting with HH. RB looks to be more intelligent now!!!
36.
You forget about Mpombo and Magande?
How will you get rid of them next time?
your thoughts are just plain wrong most times but this one you forget you needed this law to solve your own problems of democracy
So how many Mps does PF have? So whose composition of MPs has increased since 2008 between PF and UPND? who should lead the pact then. HH better go it alone you have done extremly well.
Mwanya bane @ 81 – Of course Sata has a degree, we’re just not sure from which Bangladesh ‘university’ he bought it.
That is the rise and fall of PF. Viva MMD, Viva RB
Will the PF buy us handsets to donate to the public so they can also ‘register’ as members even if they are no cards?
This is circus at its best bane. Who will remain in PF now?
#64
i think u missed the point.which of those people that voted them did they represent? if we were represented correctly why are we still complain about the same constution? from the word go the all set up of the NCC was a mess to start with. it was not sata who only boycoted NCC i think u ve a short memory the NGOs, the Churches etc also boycotteden coz they new that nothing good will come out of that. But u of all the people u are busy recommeding the wrongs that the rebels did.Maybe u have forgotten my friend there was money involved and that money has been wasted for nothing and those that u are suporting are beneficiary of the money.let them prove themselves to the electorates whether they had their blessing or not
They made their money at the NCC.
…good riddance. and they thot MMD was going to adopt them but the grassroots in luapaula has rejected them. who can give way to people who have rebelled in their own party that made them MP’s in the first place. Their days are numbered. they can appeal to the supreme court but they have just a few months to be in parliament and rupiah is dissolving parley soon. thats the end of their political careers. these political prostitues and destitutes who could not do without the NCC allowances. and NCC is a scandal……..!
LATEST BLOGGERS.
The expelled MPs have lodged an appeal with the Supreme Court. This means that the case wont be decided until the tripartite elections are held. This is the beauty of justice system. It can be abused and used.
the PF is just gone insane..?
Justice ! Whether a party os doing fine or not, its leader dillusional or what, Its members need to be LOYAL and not display double allegiance. Now can they find space on the MMD front bench !
can someone flash for me a card for PF color and how its luking lastly help me with your manifesto please if you are a genuine party as you claim….thank that there are kaponyas who dont know how to read and analyse they just folo like wind no direction where the wind takes them they bend and folo…can someone help me
Even those who rebeled against Moses and Arron were swallowed by the Earth —–
There is only one PF and those members who rebel against the finger that feeds them should go….
This should be a common practice in all parties……..
WE SHOULD LEARN TO IRON OUR DIFFERENCES cordially AND NOT TO RESORT TO COURTS OF LAW…..THOSE JUDGES ARE MEN like you and me….they have all fallen short of Glory of God.
practice what is written in ph2:3
Pro. Chirwa for president
Whether educated but not wise people insult us, or call us KAPONYAS, CHANGE IS COMING
PF IS “DEADED”
THE SERPENT HAS BEEN CRUSHED!
The chaps have appealed to the Supreme Court. This matter will not be concluded before the next general elections. This whole thing has just become an academic exercise.
I’m gonna get me a couple of tickets to this Ringley Bros. thing hitting town.
Biting a finger that feeds you. By the way, these people should have left a longb time ago and on whose behave where these men working and earning a living. Cant we demand for a rfund of what they eaten so far?
Sata you are finished! This is the begining of the fall of Poor Finishers(PF)
