TP Mazembe of DR Congo are said to be chasing Zambia and Konkola Blades utility midfielder Thomas Nyirenda’s signature.
Blades secretary Michael Nsefu said in an interview that TP is one of three foreign clubs that has expressed interest in Nyirenda.
“It is true. Mazembe, a Chinese club and a South African club are interested in Nyirenda,” Nsefu said.
Nyirenda is one of dozen regular home-based players in the Zambia national team.
He played in Zambia’s 2-1 away win over Comoros on September 5 in a 2012 Africa Cup group C qualifier.

It is so shameful that even a country like Congo DR still reeling from many years of political and economic turmoil besides the devasting war can be chasing our players to play in their clubs, while we have NEVER gone after anyone apart from recruiting usless coaches.
