The Zambia Army is mourning the loss of Lance Corporal Sakala Isaac, who tragically passed away due to injuries sustained in a road accident. Zambia Army Commander, Lieutenant General Dennis Alibuzwi, expressed his deepest condolences to the Sakala family during this difficult time.

The unfortunate incident occurred at approximately 15:00 hours on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, as Lance Corporal Sakala and 19 others were en route from Lukanga Army Battle Training Area (ABTA) in Kapiri Mposhi to the Military Training Establishment of Zambia (MILTEZ) in Kabwe. While on duty, their journey took a tragic turn.

  1. SAD INDEED FOR THE FAMILIES
BUT THE WAY THE ARMY VEHICLES THINK THEY OWN THE ROAD
AND PUSHING CARS OFF THE ROAD ONE SHOULDNT BE SURPRISED

  2. No matter how long it takes you will get to your destination. Short cuts will always be wrong cuts. The driver of that truck has caused uncalled for misery to the family and children of the people who have lost their lives by acting irresponsibly. MTSRIP.

    • No matter how long it takes you will get to your destination?
The army anywhere doesnt operate like that. Speed is part of their tactics

    • Reborn the full story is that the driver of the army truck dangerously tried to overtake other vehicles and consequently lost control of his vehicle. Here these details haven’t been included.

  3. Stop reporting as if you are still in the second republic. Give fuller details. What is:
” While on duty, their journey took a tragic turn.”?
Tell us what happened. The army should tell you what happened not “taking a tragic turn’

  4. Military personnel are rough drivers because they are above the law even police cannot touch them. I personally witnessed a new ZAF landcruiser hammer into a street light pole just because the driver being too impatient could not wait in the queue of vehicles and decided to cross an island to go the wrong way and ended up hammering the pole. He just got out examined the broken headlight and front grill and carried on as if nothing had happened.

  5. A very unfortunate development. We continue to lose lives due to accidents and we seem not to have a plan to reduce road carnage. And of late I seen lowly ranked of officers without such entitlement engage a sweeper to clear the way for them. Sometimes even drivers with empty ambulances sound the siren to have the way cleared for them and sometimes they’re so reckless. They endanger their lives and those of others road users. And behind them follow some crazy drivers who take advantage of the situation. What kind of people have we become?

  6. No Police report was given
Typical Army menality they are above the law !!!
Army only have rights when an emergency is declared
