Faz has quickly moved in to censure its outspoken committee member Henschel Chitembeya today over his comments in the press about the messy transfer of players abroad currently making the rounds on the local backpages.
Faz vice president and spokesman Emmanuel Munaile said today that Football House would deal internally with Chitembeya’s comments.
“I would like to say that what has come out in the paper today will be dealt with internally by the association,” Munaile said.
Chitembeya told a daily tabloid today that the controversial transfers currently making headlines in the press that the dealing looked suspicious.
Chitembeya, who is also Faz Player Status sub-committee chairman, expressed his concern over the recent controversial transfers of strikers Francis Kombe and Emmanuel Mayuka to South Africa and Israel respectively.
It is the first time a Faz committee member in Kalusha Bwalya’s 7-month month reign at Football House has given an independent opinion over the workings of the administration.
And Munaile has insisted Faz  plays not part in negotiations over transfer of players both locally and internationally.
” I would like to state that Faz has not been involved in the dealings of players,” Munaile said. “We only come in when we want to issue an International Transfer Certificate.”
“It suffices to say that we Faz have always acted acting in the best interest of the clubs.
“During our term of office 6 players have been transferred without any problems.”
The 6 are Signs Chibambo from Nakambala Leopards to Heartlands in Nigeria including Sipho Mumbi from City of Lusaka and ex-Lusaka Dynamos striker Masautso Tembo both to Petro Haumbo in Angola.
Munaile said the other successful transfer in Bwalya’s half-a-year-old regime imclude those of Stophira Sunzu and Rainford Kalaba from Afrisports to French Ligue 2 club Chateauroux and Portugese side Sporting Braga respectively
Also on the list of transfers is that of Mayuka to Maccabi Tel Aviv from Kabwe Warriors that is believe to have not yet been endorsed by the latter club.
However, Faz has distanced itself from Kombe’s transfer from Power to Golden Arrows in South Africa and declared it illegal and is still awaiting a report from the Kitwe club before handing the case over to Fifa.
am first, hahaaaa
FAZ is doing a good job. But its not all footbalers that can administor soccer.
bakombe u ve disapointed me
# 1 toko–watch out i just missed it!!!!
1 na 4! kwati baiche fighting for number 1. Arent u got better contributions?
Chitembeya is a principled man I think he should be left alone.
I think FAZ are telling the truth. Chitembeya may be right if it is Kombe he is referring to. Mayuka’s contract went through just ok. Remeber when he went for trials before the Egypt game. It was Kabwe worriors that said he has to go for trials but now they are crying foul! Ni ndalama chabe. C’mon, think of the young lad’s career development. I think he is going to be a success right there in Israel.
Mr.Chitembeya is a very humble man has the heart of football at heart unlikely some people in FAZ who are just after making money…we really made a mistake of allowing kalu and his team to head FAZ….Adams was a right man coz he understands football administration better than the so called former footballers….SHAME……
..Chitembeya is right..How can Mayuka attend trials & later sign a contract without authorisation from the FAZ player status sub committee? then whats the point of having such committees that get sitting allowances everytime they meet? If the FAZ constitution allows the ‘top dogs’ in FAZ to by such committees then we need alot of NCCs in this country.
#5 judging by your name your obviously used to coming last at sku i.e ichikopo and a noisy one at that!!
The FAZ executive seems to be shady in their dealings. They seem to act like they know it all and they are after the money. How come mayuka’s contract was not signed by Worriors who own the player?
Chitembeya is right, we gat crooks at football house and it is time they are flashed out if our players are to be sold to better teams. why head to Israeal instead of Portugal?
I hope all is well at FAZ. The sad think is that the FAZ boss runs FAZ by remote control, like Tilyenji wanted to run UNIP. Domicle is important when it comes to certain jobs, I hope the FAZ council will consider amending its constitution to address the issue of domicle.
Kombe talapila. Anyway, the wife is a good friend of mine.
why would Mayuka choose to go to little known Isreal football wise instead of FC Porto? Someyhing fishy is in the air!
ichushi ta chi fuka fuka fye apashili fire! Something is going in faz. Chitembeya tell us the criminals in faz. We know you know. Is it ulyanjikwite.
The circus continues in town
Yeah chitembeya some home boys wanna know, spill the damn bean big bro somebody has to be told in the face. We don’t want another mbesuma, roan & kaiza chief issue. It seems when certain pipo came to faz these thing are now happening. U make wonder, who the F… is this fella. And u Chitembeya tell us or shut the F… up!
Chitembeya has the right to speak out, Gabriel Namulambe should drill down to find out what is happening, coz there is no smoke without fire. Why should the vice president react like that 2 Chitembeya’s comments in that manner. The best example is Rainford Kalaba’s contact which was done and now the youngman instead of playing in the A team is playing in B and the coach had no plans for the youngman.
Therefore try and get good contracts for these boys and not putting money first.
Thanks Chitembeya for speaking out.
FAZ has given its side of the story, let warriors give its side of the story over the Mayuka transfer then I will comment.
First time I’m hearing mothers of players getting fully involved in contracts and clubs not considered, may be its happening in Europe as well. I will find out from my friends Robinho,Ronaldo,Tevez and Berbatov. Viva Chitembeya.
# 20, do you have any idea about legal matters?.. the boy is 17, stop exposing your ignorance to the whole world.
Chitembeya is very right… There are underhand wrong deals going on at FAZ House. Honestly how can Mayuka be sold to a club where he will be getting K1.5m? These guys at FAZ, especially the top 2 officials dont know how negotiate for better deals. They should seek advice from Hanif on these issues.
Again the problem with the Sports minister is that, he only threatens but does not act!! Comeon Hon. Namulambe act swiftly. these talented young footballers are not supposed to be sold for peanuts. Mayuka is worth: $1500 as weekly allowance, $1000 training allowance, $4500 as wining allowance. When you add up these it comes to $11,500 a month. These figures from a reliable soccer agent.
