Scores of people have turned up to file past the casket of former republican vice president George Kunda at Mulungushi international conference centre were his body is laying in state.

This follows government decision to allow allowing Zambians the opportunity to pay their last respects to the former vice president who died on Monday at the University Teaching Hospital at the age of 56.

The people mostly clad in Black and national colours were present for the body viewing of the former vice president, amid tight security provided by Military police.

People had already gathered at the Mulungushi International Conference centre at around 09:00.

The body of the late vice president arrived at 11:00 hours for viewing.

President Sata has declared three days of national mourning in honour of the late former Republican Vice-President George Kunda.

  2. Gosh well done ba LT. I forgot pa Zed there is national Mourning and thanks for updating that people have started filling past GK’s body. Well time came for GK. It will surely toll for each one of us. RIP GK. we shall remeber wat u did and what u omitted to do or did wrong so that history does not repeat itself.

  7. Hon George Kunda excelled highly in the practice of law in Courts as well as in LAZ and the judicial system in Govt. He articulated legal matters professionally and adimirably. His sharp legal mind was the envy of many neighbouring states. MHSRIP. We ask God to provide courage and comfort to his dear family.

  11. He is the only politician who took on Mr Sata punch for punch.the only one never accused of a saga/scandal or being a thief.I wish he could have live to explain why he repeatedly refered to Mr Sata as a Criminal!I envy his courage.MHSRIP
