National Restoration party (NAREP) President Elias Chipimo Junior has observed that a party in government will always be advantaged in by-elections because they can easily access state resources for campaigns.

Mr. Chipimo however stated that although his party may be disadvantaged, he believes it has done its home work for the forthcoming by-elections.

He said his party’s chances in the forthcoming by-elections will be dependent on how its message will reach the electorate.

Mr. Chipimo notes that although it could not be as much as he would have liked it to be, he understands that politics is confronted by the reality of needing to prove the relevance of the political party.

The opposition NAREP leader was speaking to QFM in an exclusive interview.

  1. The ruling party should not use national resources to finance their campaigns..I wounder why ECZ, ACC dont work closely with the auditor general to see how national funds move especially during elections and by-election…i mean its simple Cash in=Cash out + Cash at hand

  2. Chipimo and his “Yo!” party have no chance.  There will never have an MP.

  3. Ulubilo lwa mwipi ku bangilila. The sky is the limit never under estimate Chipimo.

  4. The MMD used formula 1 during 2011 September elections to try and sway the urban vote. The timing of the road construction exercise was an EPIC violation of electoral conduct code, but no one has said any thing about this. Musokotwane borrowed money at an exorbitant interest rate IN OUR NAME (for partisan purposes) which same loan we are still struggling to pay.

If MMD did it and got away with it, what is there to stop PF?

  5. opposition parties you are not stronger as FPwas in all terms FP you really demonstrated you being opposition .

  6. Abena zed, u really surprise me, how about a young and educated man for a President? he is not a recycled chap, he has studied law. to tell you the truth this will be like obama in zambia. aren’t you tired of the same people enjoying the tax payers money in different political parties? lets give the young man a chance.

  7. The biggest tragedy in Zambia is that you have a dog for a President. Ati ba Sata. The dog is busy burking at state house. Shame on you.

  8. I know how hard it is to win against a ruling party but my advise to you is that keep focused and you shall surely carry the day when your election come’s the winds of change are upon us.

  9. Chipimo concetrating cleaning your nappies. you are a novice and a proper cadre for PF…time waster young goat…go and suck until after 10yrs maybe you will mature…useless young fake laywer…leave politics to Sata and HH….your party is same as Siulapwa nashalaneka party.soon you will be in the archive of political history…

  10. Chipimo you are wasting time making useless statements and complaining, that is not becoming of a potential president. Try working for it brother, it won’t come any other way

  11. Chipimo and your friends, get your lazy butts out of the radio studio and start talking to people face to face! And get out of Lusaka and go to other towns because you are starting to sound like those fake organisations whose main aim is milk money from the European donor community in Lusaka with nothing to show for what it is intended .

  12. Elias PF took 10 years to unsit ruling party and they made intl strategic alliances. Seek such alliances and build your party with notable grass root support country. Dont despair, dictators dont last.

  13. I think number 8 is an absolutely killer idea. Most people seem afraid of giving away the best content. But i??m pretty sure that the people who do ?? get the most back in return

  14. Hey!!I??ll definitely have to check out Sean??s post. And I love the idea of blogging about a failure and how you learned from it. I??ll have to do that one soon

  15. I think Erika Napoletano is especially spectacular at pulling this off. She??ll talk about some awesome/shitty/outrageous that happened to her or someone she knows and leads with what happened and then shows you what you can learn from it.
