Buchi Boys Force Mining Rangers To Move

Faz Division One North side Mining Rangers owner Elijah “Shenko” Chileshe says hostile behaviour from some Buchi and Kamitondo residents has forced his team to leave Buchi Stadium in preference to Kalulushi’s Independence Stadium.

Buchi Stadium has been Mining’s traditional home ground since the team was established almost a decade ago but this season the team has been using Independence Stadium.

Chileshe said unscrupulous peole in Buchi and Kamitondo townships have been vandalising stadium which his team adopted and rehabilitated after Kitwe United shifted to Garden Park Stadium.

He complained that on several occations iron sheets and taps have gone missing from the stadium.

Chileshe indicated that Mining will only return to Buchi Stadium once security is ehanced at the stadium.

“We may come back next year once we engage a dog handler to look after the stadium even at night. People seems not to appreciate how we maintained the stadium”.
