Forest Rangers Promoted

az division 1 north leaders Forest Rangers have secured their promotion back to the top-flight.

Rangers, who lost 1-0 away to local rivals Ndola United in a delayed fixture on Wednesday, have from their 26 division 1 north games played this season reached the 52 points ceiling needed by the top two teams to secure promotion.

United, who scored their winner over Forest through Malisana Bola, are out of contention and in 8th place on 34 points from 26 games with four matches left to play.

Meanwhile, Zamtel who are on 49 points could secure their promotion this weekend in their week 27 fixture when they host Mining Rangers in Ndola.

Zamtel beat 9th positioned Afrisports 1-0 in Ndola also on Wednesday in another rescheduled game with striker Jackson Mwanza scoring against his old club to secure the three points for the second placed side.

Both Forest and Zamtel were both relegated from the top-flight last season.

What happened to Ndola Utd they have been my team since the seventies,i remember going to dag stadium after school to watch them practice and wait for sunday to see them play.Once in a while i used to be a katola wanderas( ball boy),how i wish they could return back to premier league football.Anyone with pictures or stories on ndola utd please email me [email protected] i will appreciate

  5. Obviously Zesco Utd atutuma pantu alaba muchibe, ha ha ha!. Each time that local durby is on will be travelling to see it. congrats guyz for making it to prime football area though not so prime.
