Chikondi Foundation praises President Hichilema for unprecedented development gains Zambia has never seen

The Chikondi Foundation has hailed President Hakainde Hichilema for his resolve to revive the mining and many other sectors in the country, in a bid to ensure that wealth benefits all citizens.

The Foundation has since called on stakeholders that include Zambian citizens, the private sector among others, to join hands in building a country that is not only united but prosperous and inclusive.

In a statement issued to the media in Lusaka, Foundation President, Bishop John Mambo, further reiterated his organisation’s call to a journey towards national transformation, which he said has also been stated by President Hichilema on several occasions.

Bishop Mambo expressed that his organisation’s call is in line with the President’s vision and requires collective effort of social economic partners as well as every citizen.

“We all need to work hard and leverage on the unprecedented development gains our country has never seen before. Significant progress has been made in the rehabilitation and expansion of our road network,” he stated.

He also observed that the government is focused on nurturing a generation of skilled citizens that are equipped to compete in a dynamic, technology-driven world, with efforts being intensified to improve access to inputs, irrigation systems, and modern farming techniques among others.

Bishop Mambo, added that the government has continued to strengthen community health systems, promote preventive care, and address maternal and child health challenges across the country.

“It is clear the President and our government are committed to a healthy and productive nation,” he stated.

The Bishop also highlighted that Zambia’s economy is on a steady path to recovery and growth, driven by prudent fiscal management and investment in productive sectors with policies being refined to attract local and foreign investment.

The Chikondi Foundation is an organisation aimed at helping out the needy, orphaned and vulnerable in society.

  1. This praising is very consistent with what Professor Lumumba says, whereby in Africa a President will clearly be failing but will be cheered on and praised. The lives of Zambians are not improving and have worsened since 2021. What is there to praise when you are declared the sixth poorest country in the world. But any way the clergy in Zambia is polarized and you can clearly tell which clergy is a typical cadre of which party, so careerism is still rife albeit in a different form

  2. The President has failed. He promised us cheaper fuel, cheaper mealie meal – even with the bumper harvest mealie meal is still more expensive than in the PF days, exchange rate is high though artificially being doctored for now, he said in opposition that loadshedding was not due to climate change but leadership failure, he meant that loadshedding was not due to drought, we have the worst loadshedding in the country, if he was working, citizens could have been saying qwenyu on their own but for now it is being pushed down their throats

  3. These are just cadres, and you know cadres just seek Favours from the ruling government and being seen at state functions. There is even one who is even fighting for running mate position, his party the MMD died and is just a corpse but he is still being called an opposition leader, why are you cheating, just to be seen to be near the corridors of power, the same corridors that have failed governance and the economy and giving themselves fake kwenyus

  4. Rate of dollar is one way of gauging the economy of a country.so it looks
Like so far not so bad apart from power problem with load shedding.

  5. Caderism at work. It is back in a different form, this time using compromised clergy. If they were objective, why dont they condemn that which has to be condemned and praise that which has to be praised. Cadres in robes for sure

  6. At the end of the day people will ask whats been the development in my area don’t expect all to be done but is it reasonable for the time of this government and I think most will say good start but more to do that is good enough. Rome was not build in a day it takes time.

  7. Ati ifipuba fyabafye konse konse. Nabamukonka uyu fipuba finankwe. That’s why religion and church is the biggest scam on earth. All leaders are scammers. Look at Nevers Mumba, now this one. Where to mwebena Kristu? When will you wake up mwefipuba mew?
