Collins Mbesuma says he understands the reasons for being left out of Zambia’s game against Uganda.
Mbesuma has not played for Zambia since the 2012 Africa Cup but has not given up on the possibility of a recall in the future.
“I need to play first at my club before I go to the national team so once I have played more games at Pirates I will be back in the national team,” Mbesuma told kickoff.com.
“It doesn’t help to go to the national team when I am not at my best and then sit on the bench.”
Mbesuma recently joined Orlando Pirates from Golden Arrows.
