Missing Mulungushi University Student Found Dead

24-Year-Old Mulungushi University Student Found Dead in Ndola

A 24-year-old third-year student at Mulungushi University, Mitch Mulenga, who was reported missing on January 27, has been found dead.

According to family members, Mulenga left home on Tuesday to deposit his school fees but never returned. Following his disappearance, relatives, friends and members of the public launched a search and appealed for information about his whereabouts.

His body was discovered yesterday dumped near his home in the Stadium Area of Ndola, with his head cut off.

The discovery has brought a tragic end to the search and has left family members, fellow students and the wider community in shock and mourning.

Authorities are expected to institute investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.

  1. The number of mysterious, gruesome murders has skyrocketed over the last few years. Why? Zambians, you need to ask yourselves that question very seriously. What changed in the last few years?
This is not coincidence. There is something spiritual influencing things in the country. Since when did we have beheadings in Zambia?
There is an evil that the country has opened the door to. Mark my words

  2. Such a young, vibrant and beautiful Life cut short. This is deeply worrying. My condolences to the family.

  3. The story is so poorly written. Get some more facts! Left home… where is home? Where’s Mulungushi university? Any suspects? What’s police saying? Is this a ritual killing? Should there be a curfew? What’s police’s advice? ETC

  4. Zambia has a community which is docile.
I know a country which is on 24/7 trading and people don’t go missing and it’s very safe with a huge population more than Zambia.

The genesis to this peace and order was the community putting vehicle tyres and pouring some highly inflatable liquids to offenders even before the police took over. This was done on basis of pure evidence.

May be our communities should handle things like that because the police have not made any headways.

This is really sad. Just this week 3 university students have been murdered in unclear circumstances.

  5. Left home to deposit his university fees. This was most likely cash. Did they instruct him how to safely carry cash without attracting suspicion? Whatever the case, this is a brutal end to a young life. The family is definitely inconsolable. Condolences to his grieving family. I hope the Police will find the killers.

  6. LT, Please hire some qualified journalists.
Isn’t this the same story you are carrying under the headline “Post-Mortem Suggests Missing Student May Have Taken His Own Life”?
Here you give us a mishmarsh report saying he went missing on Tuesday but also say ” he
was reported missing on January 27″
You state his body had been decapitated but in the other story you state the body was decomposed and a post movement done at the scene(really? At the scene) suggested suicide. Take this job seriously
    Which is which?
