PF government ready to embrace all tribes

Share

Vice-President Guy Scott meets Chief Chizera of the Kaonde people of Mufumbwe shortly before he addressed a meeting at Chizera market in Mufumbwe

Vice president Guy Scott says the PF government is open for all the people to join including the tribes considered to be smaller ethnic groups in North Western province.Dr Scott said this today that people should stop complaining that they are not represented in the PF government administration because they are considered to belong to the minority ethnic groups.

He said the PF government embraces all tribes in Zambia adding that all persons even from smaller ethnic groups can become vice president or minister under PF as long as those from these groups join and work hard to contribute to the growth and unity of the nation.Dr Scott said he comes from a very small ethnic group of only about 1,000 white Zambians but he was voted for by people from different tribes as MP and he was now vice president under the Patriotic Front government.

He said there was no difference in the way the PF treats its old and new members because it had no membership cards and card numbers for people to side line others based on when they joined the party.Dr Scott was speaking today at a campaign meeting in chief Chizera’s area when he introduced PF candidate Stephen Masumba in the Mufumbwe parliamentary by-election set for November 8.

And Dr Scott said government is this week expected to start working on two roads in Mufumbwe under the 8,000-link-Zambia road development project that was recently launched by President Michael Sata.

The Vice President described as nonsense the story that are circulating in Mufumbwe accusing PF government of withdrawing ZESCO poles that were meant for connecting Mufumbwe to National Hydropower Grid and taking them to Muchinga province. He said that the poles were withdrawn by ZESCO from Mufumbwe because the company wanted to use steel pylons which were durable to connect the district to the national grid.

He was responding to earlier concerns raised by chief Chizera’s representative that Mufumbwe had received the least funding for road projects in the whole country. The Chief Representative also complained over the continued use of thermal generators by ZESCO to supply electricity to Mufumbwe, Zambezi, Mwinilunga, Kabompo and Chavuma in the province. The Representative said the supply of thermal power was expensive and said ZESCO would do better to cut these costs by connecting the three districts to the national grid.

Meanwhile Dr Scott has since completed his three-day campaign trail for Mufumbwe parliamentary by-election and has flown back to Lusaka.

  1. I just attended a budget review and steps to change from a zero based budgeting to a more incremental budget as per minutes I was reading from it, and after reading them properly I cannot believe at my age, from where I have come from I am part of the strategic, decision making of a British company influencing their decisions
Now if that is not making it, at my age forget my education which is of course unprecedented from a Zambian woman just what is then?
I kept pinching myself; I really think I have made it, this for people that are too maligned to comprehend just about the same as Zambia having an underground rail station

    • its quite interesting to hear you speaking of ZBB, though I don’t understand what point you are trying to put across here. If its about you been a member of a budget committee, thank the board for implementing  a bottom-up budget!, cause this wouldn’t have been the case.

  2. Never been done before and I am in the thick of things, I am only looking onwards and upwards, thank you LT readers and staff for sticking by me during all my tabulations and believe me, my success is yours as well, because I will not be deterred from flying the flag of Zambia, although I have no interest of coming back there apart from casual holidays like the one I am taking this Dec with Nick
I love you Zambians, and yes Keep me in your prayers, I can feel your blessings

    Thanks

  3. What is Guy Scott trying to tell us? He is not Sata. Scott is the ONLY right thinking individual in PF. But, he cannot make anmy decision because of his colour. He wants to cheat us that PF is all inclusive when himself is treated just like Zero (0), a place holder. To hell with your foolishness Guy Scott. Muzungu oopusa!

  4. Mushota, what has your imaginary success got ot do with this article? Also, your choice of words is out of context at times – what do you mean by tabulations or did you what to say tribulations? lol.

  5. Guy Scott, cheap politics will not be entertained any more. Tell us why the Kwacha is nose diving every day!!!!! Tell us why mealie meal prices are getting high by the day!!!! Tell us after one year in office, roads, hospitals, schools, etc are still pathetic. Kuya bebele….you Chimbwis No Plans….CNP

  6. Leave Mushota alone…..she is just sharing her views away from Guy Scott article, but use it as a medium to reach out to you and me. I like her dtream of the under ground train.

  7. I think Dr. Scott is just politiking, why does he not have powers that he desrves as Vice President. George Kunda challenged this issue, but its like slowly pipo are begining to accept this anomaly. Thats the Donchi kubeba style.

Is that you girl or did you use some impersonater? If it is really you Mushota, I would like to say congulatrations on your improved English vocabulary, in fact you have successfully completed your transition from vernacular English to standard English. However, do not raise your hopes yet because you still have to polish your grammar especially in your second post. I like your message too about Zambia and that is the way to go girl, keep it up. Bye enjoy your day and always be positive about Zambia and those who live in it.

Excessive exhaustion from your limited mind should be mistaken to a mutual victory from your end. I have found you to be beneath me and for me to sit here at work and belittle you is a sheer waste of time.
It seems by bringing my name in disrepute once again, you are mistaking me for someone who cares, you in Africa and I am in Europe. It says it all really doesn’t it?
You keep massaging a sleeping crocodile, with your incoherent rambling you are forgetting that I see a nincompoop every time I read anything you write.
Do you self a favour, stay from me, you are obnoxious little toad that is incapable of making lose the tenets and dogmas I believe in and thus your goading will just bring more serious ramifications.
    Thanks

  20. The old doderer wasting his breath speaking for a government that does not respect him as vice president. He can not pull wool over our eyes about how non tribal Sata is when every second cabinet minister is bemba. He is just another praise singer and blind follower of a rabid tribalist.

  21. The PF is NOW ready to embrace other tribes! Clever boy Scott, always speaking in parables! Indeed you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. Poor PF your Muzungu has just exposed you as a Bemba tribal party. Thanx Guy Lindsay Scott, your dad Alexander (RIP) is proud of you!

  22. Thats a promise PF will have no qualms to disregard from 9th Nov, just after they finnish voting.

Infact Mr Sata might reiterate his bums insult just after the election closes.

  23. @Mushota#23#25 Mushota you are an ungrateful little creature from hell and you are such a runatic who cannot redifine herself even though angels like me are attempting to rescue you. What is your sickness which is so incurable such that you cannot reason objectively. I am afraid your dripping brains are melting faster than you think. You need help you little floating jelly. I will rearrange your miserable structure if you dare call me a toad again. I am not working in a saloon or a supermarket but a qualified professional, a knowledge worker.

  24. @Mushota#23#25
Mushota you misused two words ‘mutual’ and ‘victory’. Victory is a condition when parties/someone emerges as a winner following a contest/s, a fight/s, a war/wars, a competion/s, a debate/s etc. Whereas the word mutual is used to refer to an agreement between two or more people involving honest i.e. mutual trust or mutual understanding. Victory involves rivalry between parties locked in opposing interests and mutual promotes trust and honesty. How can you use these two words together? You are a loser girl.

  25. Tribalism is catching up wt pf. They ve found themselves on the back foot and cannot walk the talk. The walk is tribal but the talk is not. The Guy Scott anomaly continues……..

  26. I will be back shortly bitch stay where you are with your thick head which carries rotten left overs from your white boys, homie. Mushota#23#25

  27. 28. Zambiia sure its the stye of politics that prompt the ruling parties to encourage by elections to improve their numbers in parliament but its something that should be avoided if all where patriotic in parliament. In Ghana tht cant happen if you resign in that form you cant stand again to avoud time and cash wasting, bt i surpose the boma need the numbers for progress in the house.HA! stick to your promises this time in mufumbwe.

  29. only a fool can say our president is a tribalist.surely who is more tribal between sata and hh? in pf there mps who are not even bembas such as inonge .lubinda.scot,shamenda,chenda,wilombe,kazabu,kosamu,wilombe,phiri,lungu,mwaliteta,masebo, and so on. but in upnd all the mps are tongas such .hamududu, hahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh through out.if by satan’s grace the upnd had to form the Govt the whole cabinet can be full of ha he hi ho hu tonga names,

  30. # 42 Treetop, never mind these bloggers, this is still Zambia where we all love each other despite whatever tribe. I have never had an intimate friend from my 2 tribes. I have always connected better with others like Nsengas & Lundas from North westen province. By the way, most bloggers are based in Lusaka, Kitwe, Ndola & Chingola. They are not the ones who are going to vote at all. Pylons are stronger than wooden poles and western province being a mining province need strong electric power transmission lines. By the way, who really knows where to find this ar$ehole called Mushota? I am fed up of her preaching sanctimomonious platitudes in her self righteous tone full of callous! Mushota is a suitable candidate for a frontal lobotomy to correct her narcissistic personality! Shaa kabwa!

  31. Since Guy Scott strongly believes that an African will accept whatever the MUZUNGU says as gospel truth, he has developed a subtle way of refining the art of cheating mocking and ridiculing the indigenous Zambians. Scott joined PF strictly for financial reasons. To him it is worth being in Africa than squatter in the bed-seater in Scotland. Deep down in his heart he maintains the concept that the whites and some Asians hold to so dear that “ZAMBIA ENA KAWENA, MALI ENA KATINA” (Zambia is yours but money is ours) Guy Scott knows the provisions of the constitution that one whose parents are not Zambians cannot bid for the position of Republican Presidency. But Sata the Mwakyusa and Guy Scott the Scotish are in business to make money while Zambians enjoy their sleep.
