Power beat Caala in Unconvincing Fashion

Power Dynamos beat RC Caala of Angola in their 2013 Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg game at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

And as the score line states, it wasn’t easy for Power who needed a second half goal to seal their home win in labored fashion.

Power have a huge mountain to climb going by their performance today.

Their off-season signing in ex-Forest Rangers striker Nasha Kaya failed to show any quality to match the yellow shirt he had the privilege of wearing on Sunday.

Kaya was the epitome of a poor first half for Power in which they failed to take a single quality shot on goal.

Furthermore, midfielder Mukuka Mulenga also failed to show any of that spirit he displayed after rising the bar with Zambia on its way to flopping at the 2013 Africa Cup in South Africa.

Redemption for Power came in the 70th minute when striker Graven Chitalu headed in a cross from Kennedy Mudenda to give them a respectable home result to take away to Angola on March 2.

Power must now get a draw at Caala to ensure they book their first round passage.
