Mayuka: We must beat Lesotho

Share

England based Chipolopolo striker Emmanuel Mayuka says Zambia must beat Lesotho in the June 8, 2014 World Cup World Cup qualifier at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Mayuka said Chipolopolo understands the importance of the Lesotho match.

The Southampton forward believes Zambia must work hard to beat Lesotho in Ndola.

“We know the importance of the game and we will just have to work as a team and get the result that we need.

“Football every game is a different game. Criticism is always there of you don’t play t expectations,” Mayuka said.

He also reflected on the first leg match in Maseru which ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

“But credit to Lesotho they played well but I thought most of the game we are in control,” Mayuka recalled.
He added: “Everyone knows that the game against Lesotho is a must win game we have to work extremely hard and win that game.”

Mayuka joined camp on Tuesday evening and was part of the Wednesday morning work-out at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

  1. GOOD LUCK CHIPOLOPOLO. ITS INDEED A MUST WIN GAME IF WE HAVE TO STAND ANY CHANCE OF MAKING BRAZIL 2014

  2. Please Mayuka you just have to score this time. We don’t want excuses like ” Bachiimaka sana..”. Such excuses are very silly – the whole world and every defender in the world knows that Christiana Ronaldo, Messi, Van Persie, etc are very good strikers, yet they still score in most games.so, you must just master the art of tricking your opponents coz their job is NOT to help you score but to PREVENT you from scoring!

  3. That’s the spirit Mayuka mwaice. I ve got a feeling you will redeem yourself in the next 2 games. You will score goals

  4. Mayuka the only way you can try and redeeem your poor performance at SouthAmpton is shinning at the National level by scoring not less than 2 goals in each of the next three world cup qualifier games against Lesotho, Uganda and brazil. i have given you that as an indicator, anything less wheteher you will be given 15 minutes to mplay you have to find ways to score those two goals in each game.

  5. zambia 1 lesotho 0 you guys mayuka ,james chamanga , kalaba and mbesuma we depend in you work extra hard.go zambia go chipolopolo

  6. Mayuka has not had more game time.I wish he even goes to the south african league to regain his form.We are only depending on mbesuma to do the job.I see another draw at levy even worse a loss.I my opinion the 2011 squad looks tired we need new players that are hungry for success lets take an example from the super chickens they got thr cup with 95% local players.

  7. Destiny is in our hands once again. These 2 home games are a must win affair. look at how serious our rivals Ghana are taking theIr preparations, they are already in Ethiopia for next weekend’s game. Ethiopia has more or less the same climatic conditions as Sudan and our friends have seen it fit to be there a week b4 the game. I await to see how FAZ will organize the preparations leading to the Ghana-Zambia match as we are playing away. Hoping its not the same story of South Africa.
Why not try Nigeria or Ivory Coast as a camping destination for once?
My confidence is waning as regards the way FAZ handles these preparations and our prospects of a maiden appearance at the world Cup. Good luck Zambia.
