Condoms runs out in Kabompo

The District AIDS Taskforce (DATF) in Kabompo district has run out of both male and female condoms for distribution to clients.

District AIDS Coordination Advisor Shoneka Shaloba confirmed the development in an interview with ZANIS in Kabompo today

Mr Shaloba said Kabompo district AIDS Taskforce has not received condom supplies from Medical Stores since November last year.

He said the district AIDS Taskforce has however been pressing orders for supplies of 27, 000 male condoms and 3,000 female condoms from Medical Stores but there has been no response since then.

And Kabompo District Commissioner Denis Kanyakula said he will sit with the AIDS Taskforce committee to source for condoms distribution during the traditional ceremonies in the districts scheduled for this weekend.

  1. The headline should read: Condoms RUN out, NOT Condoms RUNS out. Why can’t ZANIS get this right.

  2. Tulachita sana pa Zed.Its like sex is the only activity down there.Am not surprised.

    • Can you imagine, a task force has failed to stop people from sexing day & night. Sounds like the AIDS task force is there to promote fornication. Their call can be merely compared to a civil war peace keeper Task force calling that Kabompo has run out of bullets.

  3. Awe kwena Pa Zambia tulanyengana, running out of condoms sure! Ndoleshafye.

  4. Whats the average condom usage per day per person?….I hope some douchies do not masturbate using a condom…
