Police in Senanga are investigating a case in which a 21 year old man of Shangombo district was found in possession of suspected human remains comprising of a skull, teeth and pubic hair.
Police say Wamunyima Mwendabai of Nambowe village in Senanga whilst acting together with a 15 year old juvenile was found with a skull, teeth and public hair suspected to be that of a human being.
The duo was cornered on 2nd July 2013 around 20:00 hours as it was trying to sale the parts to an alert witchdoctor who later reported the case to the police.
The two are claiming to have found the suspected remains in the Kalongola/Liombo forest.
Police say they are yet to establish the source of the suspected human parts and have engaged experts to determine whether the remains are human or not.
Meanwhile, Police in Chipata are investigating a case in which one man died on the spot while two others sustained injuries when the Mitsubishi Canter they were travelling on was shot at by unknown people using an unknown type of firearm.
Norwel Phiri aged between 25 and 30 was shot at in the chest while the driver Fabian Soko and George Phiri, a passenger sustained multiple injuries.
The trio was ferrying 27 bales of tobacco from Mkanda’s Kambani area and when they reached Lundazi turn off, they heard a bang and later on discovered that Norwel had been shot at on the right breast.
The scene of the accident has been visited and initial investigations have revealed that the criminals were aiming at the driver but missed him and shot at the passenger as the windscreen on the driver’s side was completely shattered.
The incident occurred on yesterday at unknown time in Mkanda area in Lundazi.
The body of the deceased is lying in Chipata General Hospital Mortuary whilst the injured are admitted in the same hospital.

this reporting where is it taking us to? in the Chipata incidence,it is reported that the incidence occured at Lundazi turn off,the same reporter and story says the incidence occured in mukanda area in Lundazi, please reporters learn to gather facts inorder that you give the public correct information,there is NO Mkanda in Lundazi ,dont misinform the public,,of late i ve observed that your reporting leaves much to be desired,i wonder if editors take time to edit these news items you post
