Herve Renard has declared that Zimbabwe is second on his Cosafa Cup revenge hit list.
Renard settled an old score with Bafana Bafana whom he has beaten for the first time in the Cosafa Cup since their 1-0 semifinal loss in 2008.
And now, Renard has switched his gun-sights on Zimbabwe who beat his Zambia ‘s 3-1 in the previous final held in 2009 in Harare.
“In 2009 we played Zimbabwe and we lost. Now, we want o revenge that,” Renard said.
Victory on Saturday will see Zambia equal Zimbabwe’s record of four Cosafa Cup wins.
We will be more interested when the headline says: Renard plots Zambia’s qualification to Brazil.
which remains a pipe dream
You are not WORTHY not under HR and the Great King with his corrupt “yes men” at Football House.
We shall wait and see. Meanwhile to enyoy your right to read whatever you please you can access @ zambianwatchdog.rsf.org without blocking inconvinience.
What “revenge hit list” when you are INCAPABLE of finishing teams off in 90 minutes of open play….lets be serious these are all weak teams like Lesotho. This is what happens when your benchmark and expectation level has been lowered.
Exactly
I surely have lost faith in Renard, after watching the Senior Team at AFCON 2013 and now the two matches in COSAFA with the junior team. I can conclude we don/t have a good coach. The pace & coordination which was in the team in 2012 AFCON is no longer there. Most of the remedies needed in the team are at the hands of good coach.
For example, in his own words he new SA players were hard tacklers but he let MUsakanya continue holding to the ball too long hence exposing himself to hard tackles ending in an injury. A good tactician would have told the young man to be playing a one, two. To keep F. Mbewe for that long in the game was another indicator of the coach’s lapses in tactics & understanding of the game.
@ Zuberi, You are spot on. Granted, the team is still “work in progress” but it is also clear that HR fails to read games. Certain things have been are too observable in the last two games to ignore. In the game against Mozambique it was evident that Festus and the overrated Bornwell could not jell. Personally I expected changes but that was not to be. The duo failed again in yesterday’s game with Festus visible only for wrong reasons and yet was kept on the pitch for much of the game. The stage was likewise too big for Kalume who sadly plays in that crucial role in the midfield.
The central defense is yet to crystallize. Jimmy Chisenga has played as an experienced player he is while Kapungo seem tough to beat but loses marks as he hastily resorts to speculative passing. So far Mtonga has been above average but with the diminutive Kalume lost in the park he too becomes vulnerable. Mukuka Mulenga has been the best, as expected, but can’t do more as he lacks support going forward. Bruce had a good game against Mozambique but not so against SA. With that penalty save Munyau gets higher marks though he too still has a lot to learn .
Well, thank goodness though that the lads are in the finals. But will Renard make the necessary changes come Saturday?
Mukuka mulenga has not yet convinced that he is the best local attacking midfielder.
He had alot of lapses and has not steam 2 last 90min.
I meant to say that he lacks steam to last 90min.
How many more to be revenged? Ba HR doesnt forgive ka?
yes indeed, revenge on penalties
WHATEVER. AS LONG AS WE ARE EMERGING VICTORIOUS AND GOING FORWARD.
beating SouthAfrica C team on penalties, is not going forward my friend
South Africa Team C Vs Zambia Unrated….
The reason the Zimbabweans win this COSAFA is because they always field their strongest team while Zambia and some other countries field experimental sides. Pound for pound, Zambia would be the Champs on every edition….
Solola Bye!
spot on mwana!
You dont have a clue of who the best players in the Zimbawe premier league are yet you say Zimbabwe always wins because they field their strongest team. Facts please. Do you even know that the Zimbabwe coach was limited to select only 2 players from each club by Zimbabwe FA and therefore didnt bring the best to COSAFA Cup?
Am happy to hear that, SATE SATE has been recalled at the last minute to replace the injured MBEWE. HR did at the africa cup when he suspended C MULENGA
Source of that data baba!
We will not go anywhere if we stick with HR, very defensive style of play together with failure to read games! Zimbabwe are the best coached team at this years edition and be very very careful!!! I wish Zambia all the luck in tomorrow’s game. Good luck to MANU too and shame on Man-sheet-e!! We needed Kalengo and Sate Sate in games like these!!!
These magoregore must be taught a lesson mailo……hammer them!!
GUYS WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS IN THE FINAL GAME.
As usual a miracle will hapen….boom! tizawina game ya mailo…

Zimbabwe and South Africa they always assemble the best teams in short their Senior teams while us we use the developing team so common understand the game and support our soccer team.Zambia is going to beat Zimbabwe by 4 goes to nil.
The zambian coach need a big break,… he doesn’t work hard to bring new faces in the squard…. most of zambian players which won 2012 Africa cup are over 30 years at the moment. we need new faces to score 2 goals against Ghana
