THE Patriotic Front (PF) Members of the Central Committee are today scheduled to meet to put to rest the wrangling that has of late rocked the ruling party.
Among the items expected to be to discussed is the fate of embattled party Secretary General Wynter Kabimba.
PF deputy Secretary General Bridget Atanga confirmed that the MCC meeting would take place today but could not give details.
“Yes, the meeting is taking place tomorrow and not Saturday because we have another engagement on Saturday,” she said.
Mr Kabimba has come under fire for allegedly being involved in issuing disparaging remarks against his party leading to some senior MCC’s to write to President Michael Sata to remove him from the party.
The Party has seen heightened controversy over Mr Kabimba’s alleged misconduct with protests surfacing in the ruling party over mainly allegations that he had formed parallel structures.
During the week a PF MCC, Winnie Manenga Kamayoyo Oyat, of Western Province, wrote to President Sata demanding the removal of Mr Kabimba as Secretary General for alleged misconduct.
In a letter to President Sata dated October 7, 2013, Ms Oyat, revealed that Mr Kabimba informed District Commissioners during a recent meeting in Western Province that he feels betrayed that President Michael Sata has not appointed him as his successor.
Ms Oyat, an MCC for Arts and Culture, charged that Mr Kabimba had formed parallel structures and women groups to champion his presidential ambition.
“Sir at his meeting with District Commissioners from my province (Western), he (Kabimba) claimed that you had betrayed him by promising him the presidency and now you appear like you are showing interest in it or might take it to someone else,” reads part of the letter.
“I have nothing to fear and I can openly state the same issues even in his presence and the presence of other witnesses,” she added.
PF Mandevu Member of Parliament, Jean Kapata also wrote to President Sata to discipline Mr Kabimba over allegations that some Cabinet Ministers were corrupt.
“This is a serious allegation and it is an offence under our laws not to report corruption. Mr Kabimba must exculpate himself before the disciplinary committee of the central committee of the party,” she said.
She also wrote another letter to the President demanding disciplinary action against Mr Kabimba following his comments that a tribal clique within PF was allegedly pushing for his removal.
Let’s wait and see if Kabimba will be kicked and if the President is not scared of Kabimba!
I think Wynter will be vindicated because those pushing for his removal will fail to prove their allegations.
After this meeting Sata is likely to make some changes to his cabinet to instill a sense of team work, discipline and reinvigorate the spirit of project delivery to the country
Waste of people’s time, if Mr Sata wanted Weather Kabimba to go, he would have done it long time ago. So again, stop wasting our time and lets all just wait for 2016 so you can go and sort out your problems.
Ifimalyashi fya bupuba.
Winter is here to stay in PF. Sata can’t fire him and he knows that and will keep loughing at all suggestions of being removed. But looking at his disparaging remarks about his party as CEO- I can fire him.
1. Decision has already been made by the owner of the Party (yes, “owner”)
2. Fred Mmembe is watching.
3. The Central Committee will pass the verdict and make the President look “not so bad”.
Doe, Kafikenipo mukwai, Bye byeeee, Safari Njema, Bon Voyage,Hasta mañana baby, Muyende Mushe abambo, the best news for a great weekend….. YES!
He has a future in the party
We all make mistakes
Thanks
PF is wasting its own time with wrangles like their friends in MMD. HH is busy campaigning. Mulifipuba twamibwelamo atase! We are not sure that you are standing for the people anymore.
Long over due but I doubt kabimba will be expelled. Unless the head Sata says so
No one in the Central Committe truly wants Wynter to stay. HEMCS wants the verdict to come from the Members and not him, a decision to fire him has already been made though.
Walanda bwino.
Yes “never in my era” have I seen this kind of dishonest. Parties have a heavy responsibility in the democratization process but what we see is the opposite. PF party is not inspiring in this score. A wake up call indeed.
First, it was Wynter’s wings being cut one at a time, now it’s Wynter himself.
My take is nothing but a dismissal from the PF. He’s being a pain to his fellow colleagues for a long time. He will not be missed.
I personally hate Kabimba, if they can get rid of him for me, I would probably smile after a long while!
Amen let it go
Same here, if this arrogant and disrespectful man is gotten rid of, it will make my day
I personally, do not see any substance in the PF squabbles. ” A house which is divided on itself cannot stand” and it’ s time the PF come up with a strong policy to keep it’ s members and party together. The problem is not Wynter Kabimba but it’ s with some individuals who view him as a threat to their hidden agendas. You cannot run a party like that, so it’ s vital to put all those selfish motives to bed and bury the hatchet so all organs of the party can continue running smoothly. You started well so what has gone wrong all of sudden ? You are derailing and risking your own party, what a shame.
Why should Sata be scared of Kabimba? ln yo head only. There’s no smoke without fire.lf all the allegations are true then he must be a human being that does not appreciate and is untrust worth. This could tell why he treated Lubinda the way he did.
Those of you thinking the President will take any “decisive” action must have been dead the past month. Action should have been taken a long time ago and we should expect nothing from this weakened and compromised President.
Wynter will be fired not by HEMCS but the MCC. That’s the plan.
Well, Sata probably burnt himself by including Kabimba in his inner circle as PF sec general.Kabimba is like a nuclear material- you need it for maximum security but disposing the nuclear waste is also nasty business.
Ba Enka,
You have said it like it is, i cant wait for a comfirmation, i just cant stop wondering PF without Repelsteeltje weather man, am curious as to how it will function when he’s shown the door, will the opposition rest from all the vengence we have seen? Maybe this will open Pandoras Box for the party, lets just wait and see what happens with Repelsteeltje, am sure he will be forced to open the Pandora box, i dont trust him, this is the best movie Zambia has ever produced, it deserves the biggest award ever with the best actor no other than the President himself, followed by Repelsteeltje Weather boy, the Body Guard GBM as bad guys, followed by the good guys from the opposition and within pf, the GL, Disaster stadium Kambiwli, the snitch, Guy scot, Eddie Lungu, masumba + cadres.
Never mind being appointed. Team spirit is the glue that binds groupings together. If that glue is not effective the team can disintegrate. WK is holding team spirit at ransom. PF has had other Secretary Generals before. WK is not irreplacable. Another one can effectively perform that function whilst supporting PF topman Sata. Never mind disappointing WN from legal ministry. Winning is about teamwork, not parallel structure meant to dislodge your own leader. Its twisted logic.
Poor Kabimba the owners of the PF have united against you. You should have known that these people are not your friends. They will use and spit you out. From the time you pointed them out as tribalists; they have reorganised and identified useful idiyotis to use as a front to hound you out. The rolling out of names like Atanga, Oyat and Kapata is to mask the tribalists working behind the scenes!
True
Let them fire Mr Wynter Kabimba.
This is going to be 1,000 Bembas against just 1 individual from a small tribe. This is just tells us where this country is going. After Kabimba is expelled from PF, it will be wako ni wako from now onwards and tribal peace will never be the same in Zambia ever again. SECONDLY, this is going to vindicate the Lozis who want secession. This looks a small affair right now, but it has far-reaching consequences because it is symbolic and a message to all other Zambians about the extent to which Bembas can go to be selfish…they don’t have any shame at all. I regret being half-bemba. I wish there was a car-wash for genes where I can extract the bemba genes out of me.
There is a car-wash for genes: SUICIDE. Go for it!
Iwe chi Mwebeshi you are such an ***** in your thoughts. Anyone who has travelled the world will tell you that if there is a tribe that does not favor their own, its bembas. Until we realized that we belonged to a certain clique of tribe, we never defended or even uplifted our own. Bembas are a tribe that neglects their own to serve others. We have learnt nepotism from the Lozis, Tongas, and easterners. Now you are feeling it because we are the majority tribe and if we go tribal, you surely will lose. So my advice is DO NOT PUSH IT..
@ Mwembeshi – from chief Shakumbila or village munyeu.
I like the way you have looked at this issue. I also agree with.
I have no quarrel with Bembas as an individual because I even have children that are half bemba from their mother.
Bembas are worse at trubalism than Tongas and lozis
I agree with you Kanyengambeta. Bembas are more dangerous at tribalism.
My man, this is not a tribe issue, remember how this imbecile treated Lubinda, it doest mean that since he is not bemba he should`nt be disciplined, this man has brought all this on himself, let him test his own medicine. Remember when you move too fast you crush, the brother has been to fast and he has been stepping on his friends. As for you wanting to wash the bemba part of you, all i can say is that you are just a stupid spoiled imbecile for uttering such nuisance. One Zambia one nation stands, next to be presido is HH.
Mwembeshi, you seem to be the most misinformed Zambian living in the diaspora.Look at his comment, yabaa!
Oh please give us a break!
Bemba this, Bemba that what is Bemba? How do you describe a tribe, what has it got to do with the choices a person makes? If all the decisions, choices we make are all because of a tribe or clan we belong to, then we agree with the rest of the world that Africans, black people to be specific, are an inferior race…. are you all following me? All that happens in life is because of the choices we make everyday knitted by whats around us , how our lives turn up to be is entirely based on what decisions we make everyday, so Man up all you guys and face this challenge, if you want it changed, stop this nonsense of tribe, there are rotten nuts everywhere just pick them out, but remember you have to taste some to know they are rotten for everything is not as it…
Your analysis dear is a complete flop. Wonder if you are analyzing from your head or otherwise
wynter is part of the cartel hence going nowhere.did you know that most of sata’s advisers are from the cartel holding captive?
kabimba is certainly not of my liking but kick him out it will prove to be true his allegation of tribalism worse than known in our country. those advocating for his removal have not pointed out the offense he committed. after helping ushering the party into govt , then they start scheming ways of flashing him out? appreciate him you tribalists, gbm kambwili and sata himself!
He will never leave the party under any situation his line a virtal nerve PF has all those asking him to go will be dishonored by the president…mark my words
We will not mark your word but cross them.
Mind you no one is indispensable.
tribalism is not a real issue in Zambia but we can still make it real if we want.
Lets talk about money in the pocket. Corruption should be legalised in Zambia.
Sata’s behaviour of failing to take decisive action over the crisis in his party may be baffling to many. Some may even attribute his contradictory position to fear or being held hostage by some forces. However, African leaders once in power do not fear anyone, not even God. In fact they tend to think they are the almighty himself, treating their people with the greatest contempt and disdain you can imagine. Once you give these rogues your vote, you literally cede power to them to lord it over you and treat you as slaves. In the current case of Sata, Wynter, GBM, Mmembe et al, let it be known that Sata does not fear anyone; he is far too arrogant to do that. What I am seeing is indecision on his part. My guess is that this indecision arises from the fact that he has been playing these…
While the man (Kabimba) is away, they are busy trying to seal his fate…back-stabbing bunch these PF are, aren’t they?
you are right. they are a bunch of cowards.
No wonder they saying, “a dog is a man’s best friend”. These back stabbing fockers…
Is that not what he did to GIven Lubinda? My dear, the same measure you use to take out your “enermy” is the same to be used on you, you should remember that everyone is “special and protected” some how do you think, all the sacrifices that the GL made to contribute to the future of PF and Zambia, will just go down the drain just like that? No my dear, an ear for an ear, learn from these events, what goes around comes around, go back to the events that led to the GLs expulsion, you will know that Karma is a B*****ach, or may be everyone has a watch man!
If you chase Kabimba then be ready for negative editorials from the post.
If you keep Kabimba then be ready for more in-fights.
I am no fan of Wynter and I don’t think he has the brains 2 lead the country. However, having this meeting in Kabimba’s absence is a sign of cowardice from members of the central committee. Y don’t they wait 4 him so that he can personally answer wat eva allegations r brought against him??Y r they scared of facing him in person if he has breached Party regulations?
No one will save PF. Sata has been a fraud from childhood. A con. Next govt should start by removing his immunity.
What tribe is Kabimba?coz if he was BEmba like GBM and others..it wouldn’t have gone this far
lets be honest when lubinda was asked to leave by the same person no one talked about tribalism y? its up to you bembas to choose your workmate
Don’t use LUBINDA as a pone in this tribal war in case you are blind to reality all these people in the central committee of PF Chikwada(god father of tribalism),kansembe, luo, kambwili, nsada, mukupa, are BEMBAS while no other person apart from these are against the next president of PF HIS EXCELLENCE WYNTER MUNACHABWA KABIMBA SC.kapata, atanga , kamalo are just being used as shields of this tribal clique
If PF was some proper organisation with respect for rule of law and fair play, they would be forced to defer the Kabwamba item so as to give him chance to respond to the allegations, in any case he has not been charged with any offence just yet, meaning it would be prudent to ask some committee to frame up charges and then wait for the outcome of that process.
But then we are talking PF here, anything goes and we should not be surprised if he is dismissed from his SG position, I verily believe ba MWINE is behind all these machinations so he can free himself from the jaws of the alligator he embraced by his own volition.
No matter what happens Wynter can never be kicked out, come-on there is overwhelming evidence of the unbreakable relationship btwn Sata and Wynter, moreover Sata wants to shoe his blind followers that he is not a tribalist. So if i were Wynter I would home and chilling or probably by Silva’s bedside…..
Political Rhetoric at its worst….
I like Kabimba very much. He looks at corruption as corruption regardless of who is commiting it. The best for PF can do is to let winter to exculpate himself, to mention corrupt ministers. Let him provide what he calls imperical evidence and let PF not barry their corruption by firing Kabimba. Forget about his debacle at ACC offices.
This is animal farm proper. WK is out of the country. His Murambirwa ( hard working Sylvia in all spheres) is in hospital possibly recuperating from fatigue, and yet the meeting of the PF MCC is taking place to determine the fate on WK. Winter is having his wings clipped. GBM will be domesticated. As they say, the rest is history …….
Wynter is the engine of PF, fire Wynter, PF will not win 2016 election. Those women complaining about Wynter are just jealous of the guy.
Am a bemba speaking person, and I do believe, the Bembas have come together and ganged up on Wynter.
It’s only the Vice President and others like Miles who are supporting Wynter.
If I was the President I will fire Mwamba, because he is the cause of all these stupidity in the Party. Fire Wynter the Party will split, mark my words.
Really amamzing, i hope and trust that the party leadership shall address the issue objectively and see to it that they dont defend one party… we need to see to it that we dont act on hearsay…..
Kabimba is too arrogant. He need to be touch a lesson, most of u who commenting about mbemba’s you just wasting your time we the majority . No one can win the election without being co-operating with mbemba’s that is a long overdue. And we are good people well organized and support each other. My last remark is Kabimba must go.
Please write in ”MBEMBA”. I cannot figure out your point.
@Abapondo
Stop lying. Typical of peole from the north with low IQ. The Bembas make less than 50% of the population. I don’t need Bembas to win an election. All I need are the other tribes, that’s it. Keep hallucinating about your majority nonsense. If you were the majority why did Sata spend 10 years in opposition and only won the election after going to beg for votes from other provinces? M.w.a.n.y.a, wait for 2016.
Bembas are the single largest tribe at 21% of zambia’s population but far from being majority. You’re flouting the truth.
In all fairness Kabimba has done nothing wrong by warning hating elements and exposing tribal clique and corruption in pf.
I just want to give a word of advice to the Central committee of PF, please do not destroy our Party. The issue of the Secretary General MR Kabimba should be handled with care list you split the Party.
Should the out come be against MR Kabimba, the tribal element will never go away and you will simply kissing good bye come 2016. Mark my words. In fact all those stupid charges should be thrown out, the man who deserve to be charged is Mwamba who brought all these noses.
Kabimba will die for having said the
truth about PF.and the timing was just
right. Even if he is fired now he wont
regret and it will soon dawn on every
zambian that he was just very very
right to have exposed this cancer in PF.The nepotism, that has been exhibited by PF has far reaching
consequences & will for many years to
come make resourses ie university
places , contracts,scholarships etc
continue to accrue to the relatives of
these few whilst we remain with substandard jobs, perpetual poverty etc.
Thats why zambians must never allow
such leaders to preside over their
affairs. For instance KK did not develop
Chinsali the way Sata is doing without
any sense of remorse because he was sensitive to these devisive issues.
sympathiser, Levy’ do not bring Mwamba in a equation here ! I do understand your agony though !. Winter should have gone long time ago, in fact, in civilized world, he should have resigned, but politics of the belly keeps him on. I do agree with
I agree with you OLD RUGS

No one in the Central Committee truly wants Wynter to stay. HEMCS wants the verdict to come from the Members and not him, a decision to fire him has already been made though.
==
Lets see how the game will be played.
Get rid of Kabimba followed by Humpty Dumpty GBM!!
This is the list of individuals who have served as PF secretary Generals since formation in 2001.
Dr. Guy Scott
Edwin Lifwekelo
Charles Chimumbwa
Edward Mumbi
Winter Kabimba
Only Dr. Guy Scott has shown true loyalty to the party and has gone through thick and thin together with HEMCS to bring the party where it is today, in power. Lifwekelo, Chimumbwa, Mumbi and now and unfortunately Kabimba who seemed to be a loyal member of the party is on the verge of exit. Loyalty to ones principles is cardinal.
It’s only a died tree trunk that will remain in its position even when it has overheard human discussing about its removal the following day
Whatever people are saying here is too late.
This meeting was called in Kabimba’s absence to find it easy to expel him from PF. So Kabimba will not be in government and PF by Monday next week.
But after this, the Bembas will now go for the remaining other tribes in PF and government. Next will be INONGE. I will not be surprised to hear that PF CADRES have suddenly found something wrong with INONGE and that she is not loyal to PF and she should be kicked out – because they will want a bemba to be PF chairman.
Meanwhile, by 2016, Zambia will be so divided among tribes such that any small mistake will spark a civil war. One thing for sure is that after KABIMBA is expelled from PF today, that will be the death of PF in Southern and parts of Central province.
It is true ba Mwembeshi
Even BRIDGET ATANGA herself is not safe. There is a Bemba they are now earmarking to put in the post of Deputy Secretary General. The removal of other tribes from PF started long time ago but only became more visible starting with Given Lubinda. Although people are accusing Kabimba for fighting Given Lubinda, in actual fact Given Lubinda only survived being expelled from PF because of Kabimba who defended him and said the offence was not that grave. Very soon, PF will look like the way it started: as a party for Bembas —– just like UPND is a party for Tongas but at least HH has openly declared that no other tribe can lead in UPND so that the rest of us none-Tongas are not confused about what to expect.
The people I feel very sorry for are children from tribal inter-marriages. This must be very traumatising to watch your father’s tribe openly victimising your mother’s tribesmen just because of their tribe. It is not healthy for children and I would think twice before marrying from another tribe if I wanted to get married.
It is very difficult ba Mwembeshi to find a woman to marry if you come from smaller tribes like Sala, Mumbukushu, Luchazi, Tabwa, Nyika, lima, lenje, Chokwe. You still end up with a Nsenga, Lozi, Bemba, Luvale, Tonga. So what do we do baba?
@ Yoshi Takashindo (Japanese)
All those so-called smaller tribes already have bigger tribal groups they belong to whose culture and province they share.
But most importantly, I’m NOT advocating against inter-tribal marriages. I’m just stating the fact of reality. At this rate of very visible tribalism going on at political level, there is no doubt that children from parents of the same tribe have less tribal issues to worry them and do not suffer from psychological trauma compared to children born in inter-tribal marriages.
Breaking news as at 14:20 hrs – Wynter Kabimba dropped as PF General Secretary
Fire Winter, & what happens to the Multi-Million US Dollar spinning Conglomorate, “ILUNDA CHALO” ???
I wish to advise my friend that he should not be mistaken that bembas are the majority for the following reasons:
(1) If you notice Lalas whom one may think that are Bembas do not want to yoke themselves with Bembas. Look at the voting pattern in Central Province for instance in Serenje. It is only recenlty that PF even manged votes there.
(2) Mpulungu and Mbala, look at the voting patterns, that group of people also does go along with Bembas because of their arrogance dominance.
(3) A lot of non Bemba speaking people speak Bemba language so well that one would mistake them for Bembas. I know some homes where people speak Bemba and are not Bembas.
(4) My friend do your statistics well before you make that mistake. Yes 38% may speak Bemba but are not Bembas. Let us unite.
Good observation!
in fact true “bembes” are very few, but language influence and dominance is quite substantial. However, the more we urbanize, globalize and modernize these tribal enclaves will slowly start to diminish. bembe may be used for communication sake only just like Swahili in east Africa. or we may start using “Nyanga” which does not have a tribal attachment.
i further disagree with Mwembeshi, about children born form inter-tribal marriages being traumatized? for what? any ones language my be ridiculed for bad and good reasons that does not warrant children being traumatized. Chimbuya started as a means to stop tribal wars by just laughing about other cousin tribes when they act below par.
Good day to All!
Zambians should not expect anything from the central committee meeting of PF. Nothing will happen. The factions will be told to slow down and embrace each other but no one will be fired or demoted. The problem is Sata is a snake and he eats with both his hands. He goes to GBM at night and to Kabimba during the day. SO NOTHING IS HAPPENING PEOPLE. WATCH THIS SPACE!
Kabimba from inside PF OPENLY SAID THAT pf IS A TRIBAL PARTY. HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS SAYING. SO DO NOT AGUE. EVEN IF THEY EXPEL HIM, THE WRITING IS CLEAR THAT HE IS EXPELLED BECAUSE HE IS NOT BEMBA. PERIOD!!!!!!!!
My reliable sources are telling me that MR WYNTER KABIMBA HAS BEEN DROPPED AS SECRETARY GENERAL based on what someone has texted them. It is not yet confirmed but that is the latest I’m hearing. They are now considering whether to completely expel him from PF. Chikwelete’s issue will be next to be discussed in the same meeting after final decision on Kabimba. Again, these are reports that my sources are still trying to verify with some of the ministers at the meeting. It is understood that either GBM will be appointed PF-SG, or they are considering a Tonga to save face that PF is not tribal. But if this is true the damage is done and the real tribal hatred begins.
Fack information you ***** mwembeshi, lets wait and see the truth. this chap (mwembeshi) is misleading the readers, my apologies on his behalf.
@ mwembeshi SR.
Okay —- I will shut up for now, but the news is coming anyway. Thank you for apologising on my behalf with such venom against me. Rather than getting irate at me, you should focus your attention on monitoring news updates.
What a disappointment that our young university and college graduates are the ones driving the tribal talk every day.
This tribal thing should have been left in the past with us who have been around since before Zambia’s independence.
You should be talking twenty-first century language of human advancement, science and technology.
Don’t waste your future on the past katundu.
lets wait and see…
@oldrug, that will be proverbial shooting in his foot. Sata can afford to fire GBM and a few of his supporters but strategically it will be suicidal for him to touch Kabimba and not indirectly but directly ruffle a few others who made him what he is today President of Zambia. He is better off sending GBM back to his business and if he makes noise to silence him though state machinery than make powerful enemies.
The whole PF along with Sata cannot fight and win the fight against Kabimba’s backers. Sata is better off getting rid of Kapata, GBM, Chikwelete, Emmanuel Mwamba and many more. Lion is old and need vibrant members in the PRIDE and not sheeps, drug dealers and bonkers.
Kabimba will stay and rest all will be told to shut up or leave the party.
