Zambia hosts Uganda in Ndola on Wednesday in what will be Coach Patrice Beaumelle debut home game.
Beaumelle heads into his first home game seeking a victory to win over his doubters in what has been a mixed six months in charge.
The Frenchman has strangely played all his nine games in charge abroad, winning four, losing four and drawing one.
Beaumelle heads into Zambia’s first game in 2014 enjoying an encouraging turn out of his foreign-based stars for the match.
Goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene, defender Stopilla Sunzu, midfielders Nathan Sinkala and Rainford Kalaba including strikers Christopher Katongo and Emmanuel Mayuka gives one an interesting perspective who what he has in his war chest ahead of Wednesdays friendly.
Beaumelle is also set to hand the promising defender Adrian Chama from FAZ Division One South club a debut after impressing in training.
Power Dynamos midfielder Kennedy Mudenda is also expected end his two-year Zambia exile.
Meanwhile, Beaumelle has demanded his team rises to the occasion on Wednesday night at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
“Nobody is expecting the team to go down we have to maintain our standards. Zambia is one of the best teams in Africa and so there is no reason we should not perform,” Beaumelle said.
“So I will be very demanding from my players on the pitch with or without ball always. Without the ball we have to press, with the ball we have to enjoy and give good options and to score.”
How a player like Mayuka deserves a call up at the expense of local players is beggar’s belief when the boy has LAMENTABLY FAILED to perform…this PE teacher’s assistance Patrice is taking us NOWHERE. The empty suits have missed the bus to appoint a new manager now its back to the same cycle of mediocrity.
Jay Jay, after tomorrow I will send you for castration. Just watch how that Mayuka & Kola will break their hearts off just to impress and prove you that the boys can strike even from afar.
Now let me tell you that the game is on left with Kennedy Mudenda, he is supposed to be at Soachax that youngman. We only miss Pilato Ngonga on right, anyway, let Chris take the closes from right.
Do you know Jay Jay that there is Kalaba and unsang hero Sinkala in mid.
Without Chisamba I prefer Kondwani-Sinkala duo defensive mid. Then Kalaba na Mudenda. Kola na Mayuka,
At back is Sunzu na Kabaso, uku Musonda then uku umwaiche Adrian. Mu goal Nsabata.
And then I will tell ZNBC to broadcast, I tell you Jay Jay, you hang yourself.
You were saying the same about the previous coach. I think you would need to be balanced in your critique. Look at the type of players he has to work with and the quality of your local coaches.
Are you discussing football Nostradamus? Just got lost in translation.
@Talk Sense
And how long have you been complaining about that and what is your Football Association doing about that? Do they have a long term plan? Who are they bench marking themselves with? As for the quality of local coaches I beg to differ there as we have more experienced coaches than Patrice in our league. What experience does Patrice have? None…he has never managed a club at managerial level. I bet you he is constantly on the phone to the PE teacher in France. The best option was to bring in someone new with a new approach.
Local who are not active………leave the coach to do his job and for own turn if it is going to come inyour life time.why always criticizing kanshi?
Good luck to all the lads … God speed. Make the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise proud again.
Iye Chipolopolo!!!
Ukutumpa why you think God is a Zambian, and which “Zambian Enterprise” is smart. If you invinted that B.R Mumba for dinner, you hear ati “noo no thank you, I don’t nshima, it gives me stomach pains”.

Go boys we are behind you guys, iyee chipolopolo, iye mapolopolo

So puteni ichimweela, iyeeeee, aheeeeeee, aheeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ba Zambia atishani??? Chipolopolooooooooooooooooooo
Deeply disappointed by ZNBC, our national broadcaster, for failing to broadcast this match live on TV. It goes to show that they do not have a strategic plan of mobilising funds, if now they’re crying for inadequate sponsorship and short notice of this match. What about our TV levy they’re collecting? How are they using this money?
As a sponsor through TV levy, & many Zambians, we deserve & demand a live broadcast of international games especially those played at home. We should not be deprived because of ZNBC’s inefficiency, incompetence & lack of fore sight.
Nevermind the levy ZNBC can break even from televising that match and make a profit if at all they had business savvy minds there. Why shouldn’t the fail to raise a mere $20K and then raise more money from that through ad space. Football is the number one sport. If I was the DG I would fire everyone and ask them to reapply so i could weed out the passengers.
THIS IS A MUST WIN MATCH CONSIDERING THAT WE ARE AT SAME POINTS WITH THE CRANES FOR AFCON 2015 QUALIFICATION, IS THIS THE LAST QUALIFYING GAME? LET MAYUKA REDEEM THE DOUBTERS
I feel for Emmanuel,… the boy had brilliant feet! Kola also… where has he been? hope he can score now!
Good luck Zambia!
