I can tell you that am enjoying a wonderful relationship with my Vice-Presidents-Nevers Mumba

MMD President Nevers Mumba has said that he was not aware of any ploy to oust him as he was enjoying a close working relationship with the two vice-presidents Michael Kaingu and Brian Chituwo, among other party members.

Responding to the statement released by youth that disclosed that there is a clique in MMD to replace him as MMD president, Dr Mumba said that he was not aware of any such plot.

“Am not aware of any meeting to plot to remove me. There is nothing like that,” he said.

“I can tell you that am enjoying a wonderful relationship with my vice-presidents.”

When contacted, Dr Kaingu laughed at the allegations and said he would issue a statement today.

Dr Chituwo said he did not have to ask for permission from anyone for him to talk to any party member and that well-meaning party members were supposed to approach him before rushing to conclusions.

Efforts to get comments from Mr Mulusa, Ms Siliya and Dr Simbao failed.

The youths alleged that the senior party officials held secret meetings at Pamodzi Hotel on Sunday this week, where they strategized and that similar meetings have taken place in Lusaka’s Light Industrial Area.

Meanwhile, the disclosure by the youths has angered MMD acting national secretary Chembe Nyangu, who warned of immediate suspensions for divulging party affairs in the media.

Mr Nyangu said that he would take disciplinary action on the youths labeling them “unruly” over their conduct.

“You cannot run a party with such unruly youths. During the period am acting as chief executive officer of the party, am going to take disciplinary action against all those erring members so that I can instill discipline in the party,” he said.

    • The youths are unruly now??? But when they beat Kachingwe they were your Heroes……and you claimed this is the way to maintain discipline in the party. Oh my God.

    • We sincerely apologise for beating up Ba SG. We were mislead by our so called leaders. Ba Mudala please forgive us and come back to revive the party before it sinks(or before it stinks)

    • Good move Nevers!! pretend you are in that dark, Mmembe was waiting for your desperate reaction

  1. Ba Nevers, you should not cheat your self. You have become a very unpopular figure in the MMD. Your vice presidents are not with you anymore and you know it. Your political journey says it all. It is difficult to trust you. You failed to build a single church in your ministry. How can do we expect you to build infra structure for this country. The story tellsl it all.

    • You’ve wrong or little info about Nevers sir. Dip his backgrounds before you open your mouth sir/madam. Don’t just read the lies Mmembe writes in his paper and you take it as gospel truth.

  2. He may have recieved a cheque already. The cartel is spending sleepless nights to breakup MMD and weaklings like Nevers are fodder for them.

  3. The only support you have is probably from your children. In MMD??? Zero!!!. You better leave before it is too late.

    • You’re not telling the truth ba guy. He has my support, my wife’s support, my brothers, sisters, some of my friends and I converted some people in Northern Province and grounding them. Good night sir/madam, and God bless you.

  4. OMG, I do not think these youths where paid by some other party then they fabricate a story. They said MMD die hard youth chairman was invited to attend one of the meetings at the hotel, that is when he exposed those guys trying to oust Dr. Mumba. If it is not true what are the youths trying to do and why? I think Dr. Mumba at this time must be very careful with the people he is dealing with. This issue is not small, what if some thing of the same nature comes up, what are you going to say? Will you turn back to the youth and say sorry I made a mistake? There must be no pretense here. I support President Mumba and MMD, people should not pretend as if there are with him just come out in the open and leave MMD alone, period. We don,t want confusions in our party.

  5. You come from the same province as the president. Why don,t you leave this party and join PF. You could be the vice president or an ambassador to IRAQ.

  6. But ba youth why didn’t you consult before you issued the statement? Why didn’t you tell the president before you told the people of Zambia? You see now, we do not know who is telling the truth. Next time be careful and learn to consult and ask for permission to publicize anything concerning the party, do not just put anything in the media as if there is no authority. Maybe you are just framed by somebody who hates MMD, we do not know unless you speak out, we will see. We are waiting for your response on this one.

    • What story are you getting from the picture. If you do not know,Dr.Chituwo hardly smiles in any situation. That Am afraid is his trade mark.It has has nothing to do with his betraying Nervous.

By the way,the people mentioned as plotting against Nervous are persons who cannot hide behind anything. If they wanted to discard Mumba,Am very sure Dr Kaingu,Siliya or Dr Simbawo are capable of talking to their President face to face.

  7. Bamashina bweleleni kuli Lesa, its neva too late. U r vry gud wen it comes 2de wed of God.Ama politiks yalemipwishafye

  8. I knew it. Kadobi and Lusambo are under the payroll of Sata and Mmembe. Let people not be cheated, if Mumba parts company with Siliya, Kaingu and Chituwo, that will mark the end of MMD. Many people are waiting for that to happen. The life of MMD will be determined by people like Mulusa, Dora, Kaingu and Chituwo. If these people move out today, then whatever remained of MMD will be finished. To me MMD should very seriously think of marrying themselves to UPND. That is one way Zambia will be saved.
